Looking down the chute at the Yellowstone River as it flows downstream of the falls at Inspiration Point. What a gorge this river has carved out of the yellow stone. While not as much of an epiphany as standing on the edge of The Grand Canyon, I'm always filled and thrilled with similar amazement and awe standing on the edge of this smaller canyon.

My enthusiasm for poppies reawakens every year. I heared about this location near me, and I was thrilled. I can now visit and photograph the poppy field whenever I want to and shoot in different light conditions.

For days I've been waiting for some sun and nice warm spring light to devote myself to the spring flowers that have just appeared.
What do I get instead ? rain ... for days.
But when I was in my garden earlier, my frustration turned to enthusiasm when I saw how the raindrops had enchanted everything.
Here you can see, for example, moss that has grown on the border of the garden path. The longest stems are about 2cm high and I stacked 19 shots to show as many waterdrops as possible. Now my knees are wet and dirty and I am happy and satisfied.
Seit Tagen warte ich auf etwas Sonne und schönes warmes Frühlingslicht um mich den gerade aufgetauchten Frühlingsblumen zu widmen.
Was bekomme ich stattdessen ? Regen ... tagelang.
Doch als ich vorhin in meinem Garten war wandelte sich meine Frustration in helle Begeisterung als ich gesehen habe, wie die Regentropfen alles verzaubert haben.
Hier seht ihr zum Beispiel Moos, welches auf der Begrenzung des Gartenweges gewachsen ist. Die längsten Stengel sind ungefähr 2 cm hoch und ich habe 19 Aufnahmen gestapelt, um so viele Wassertropfen wie möglich sichtbar zu machen. Jetzt habe ich nasse und schutzige Knie und bin glücklich und zufrieden.

Infusiasm = enthusiasm for infusion.
This little tea infuser is definitely fit for purpose. I was fixated on coffee for about 24 hours and then switched my choice for the MM theme at the eleventh hour. Actually, it is quite literally the eleventh hour - well past and catapulting towards midnight. So enough with the babble and on with the brew. HMM to you all!
This is the rear view of The Albert Memorial. It looks over towards The Royal Albert Hall. The memorial commemorates the death of Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's husband in 1861. It was unveiled in 1872. It is Located in Kensington Gardens.
The base of the memorial depicts celebrated painters, poets, musicians and architects, reflecting Albert's enthusiasm for the arts. There are 187 exquisitely carved figures.
The Royal Albert Hall was opened by Queen Victoria in 1871. The seating capacity is 5,272.

Since Wally would not stay in his pouch, he was taught to walk, and he took to his lessons with enthusiasm. With a hand supporting his upper body, and gradually moved forward, he quickly learned to follow with his hind legs. Once he learned how to move his back legs, it was just a matter of practice, and he was standing upright and hopping in no time.
Thereafter, he hopped everywhere, and explored everything. He was the dearest little Wallaby imaginable, and the complete opposite of Evan in every respect, except one; he craved cuddles and would happily lay in any arms that would hold him.

No idea what this evisceration is/was, it was rolled and folded and covered in sand so many times it was beyond regognition. I thank the sea gods for that:)
i had a great night last might watching Afro Celt Soundsystem in Cardiff. Their music is infectious and so full of life and colour so I needed a photo to try and give that sense of fun and life affirming enthusiasm. After so much dancing everyone was Breathless, by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

Honestly, we didn’t have much enthusiasm for a nice safe 90 minute hike with a few stairways and ramps in Postojna Cave, so we settled for the train in and out. All these different styles suggest dramatic changes in water flow over geologic time.

**I took some time last night to read what I could on the lives of each of the children and the teachers who died in the Uvalde Texas massacre. several of the news media posted pictures and short stories.
the children were born and lived with families who loved them for the short 10-11 years they were here. I thought it was the least I could do to celebrate their lives. I did the same with the 2 teachers.
it was hard reading and I cried a lot but it was my small way of honoring them and their families.
I would like to think that I'll never have to do this again.
I worry about the survivors. they saw things no one should have to see, and they are just little kids.

As a follow up to the shot below I have been visiting the pair of swans and their 8 cygnets at least 2/3 times a week trying to obtain shots of the cygnets growth !
I had been feeding them in what would be the near bottom left-hand side of this photo ' when the Cob (Male) Swan just drifted away in the direction of the far side of the dock where they all often either roost, rest or just preen out of the water ! Drifting in the water as he waited for his family the low sun reflecting on the water caught my eye and whilst he is not quite as dark in shadow as I would have liked, I don't think the result is to bad for a 300mm telephoto' shot !

A Group of 10-15 White-eye's flew somewhere onto this berry tree unexpectedly. They were looking for berries - ripe berries - in particular and there was only one in the bunch here that were orangish red indicating it could be consumed. This bird took around 10-15 seconds to pull it out and then it slipped out of its beak. But nothing could beat the enthusiasm of these birds - they quickly flew to another for more.

Took my camera into town today, hoping to get a few snaps... but the light got dimmer and my shopping bag got heavier... and my courage and enthusiasm waned! So here's a photo of the frost from a few days ago, when the sun shone and the garden glistened.
