Definitively completed in the Swabian period, the Cathedral of Cefalù, which became a World Heritage Site in 2015, can now also be visited in its towers.

Built starting in 1131, its Romanesque style is enriched by Arab influences, and its appearance is pure wonder.

It is also possible to climb its Norman towers, which are different from each other: one is the square-plan tower, with battlements in the shape of flames, which would symbolize the papal miter and the power of the Church; the other is the octagonal-plan tower with Ghibelline merlons which would instead pay homage to the royal crown and the temporal power.

The advantage for me of living in a big city is that there is such a variety of people out on the street every day. Taking street portraits, brings me into a few moments of close contact to someone previously totally unknown: Every one of these meetings truly enriches my life…

The renowned Sela Lake in frozen state, situated in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh. Altitude: 13,700 ft.

The view of the pristine lake and the interplay of light amongst the moving clouds as they were passing over at rapid speed, creating formation of light and shadow was a real enriching visual and a delight to the already wonderstuck mind...

Such a wonderful color and tone. It enriches the area where it stands. It’s tendency is to enhance any vegetation nearby. I think beauty like this can’t go ignored so why not take the photo opportunity to capture, share and save a piece of God’s natural beauty. Thanks for viewing my work. Gratitude and Kindness aren’t partial to any species as it’s meant to be part of life’s beauty for all to witness.

One can perfectly be a good Christian and at the same time be enriched by the teachings and practices of other religious traditions. All great mystics and religious thinkers learn from other faith traditions and philosophies of life. Even Aquinas got ideas from Aristotle and was familiar with Averroes. Meeting the other is one way of having interfaith friendships like the ones established by Merton and Nhat Hahn or Merton and the XIV Dalai Lama. To be humble before Infinite Truth is to open one's mind and one's heart to that which IS. Mutual respect is the key to compassionate wisdom.

I love Ranunculus, the blooms opened beautifully, not always evident, their stems are extremely delicate and do tend to just collapse before the bud can open into a gorgeous voluptuous bloom...

So tightly petalled!

Hippophae produces orange-yellow berries, which have been used over centuries as food, traditional medicine, and skin treatment in Mongolia, Russia, Ukraine, and northern Europe, which are its origin regions. It is an exceptionally hardy plant able to withstand winter temperatures as low as −43 °C. Because Hippophae develops an aggressive and extensive root system, it is planted to inhibit soil erosion and is used in land reclamation for its nitrogen fixing properties, wildlife habitat, and soil enrichment.

Riga Motor Museum was founded in 1989.

It is located a few kilometers from Riga city center, houses the largest and most diverse collection of antique vehicles in the Baltic states and offers a truly interactive, fun and educating journey into the world of motors. The museum is considered as one of the most remarkable and most modern museums in Latvia, and a must see tourism attraction when visiting Riga.

Riga Motor Museum was opened after a large-scale reconstruction on the 2nd of July, 2016. The museum has gained broader and modernized exposition space, a comfortable and enjoyable environment for visitors, as well as accessibility for everyone. At the same time we have preserved the museum’s historical architecture and the specific Motor Museum’s atmosphere. The author of the reconstruction project is “Projektēšanas birojs ARHIS” Ltd. Reconstruction works are carried out by “Skonto būve” Ltd.

The new exposition tells fascinating stories about unique vehicles, renowned individuals and important milestones that helped to shape world’s automotive history. Visitors explore and engage with the story using modern and diverse multimedia and design features, as well as participate in several interactivities. The author of the design project is H2E Ltd.

The museum showcases more than a hundred unique antique vehicles and the collection is enriched with several significant acquisitions. The museum’s café, kids fun zone, hands-on exhibits, temporary exhibition hall, educational workshops and other entertaining events ensure a day well spent in the new Riga Motor Museum.

Canale di Tenno is one of the most charming villages of Alps. It managed to preserve its medieval appearance almost completely, with some modern means, of course. Narrow cobbled streets, wooden balconies, murals on the walls. Only some 20 people live there today, some of them are artists who also enriched cultural life of the village.

Pasadena Presbyterian Church has a proud past: it was the first church to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the new city of Pasadena in 1875.

Montenegro is a country in Eastern Europe bordering Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania and the Adriatic Sea. It used to be a part of Yugoslavia. The capital is Podgorica. The name Montenegro is Italian and means Black mountain. Montenegro was an independent princedom between 1878 and 1910 and an independent kingdom until 1918. That year Montenegro became part of Yugoslavia. In 2003 Yugoslavia was transformed into the new country of Serbia and Montenegro, but this fell apart in 2006 when both countries went their separate ways. Montenegro is therefore the youngest country in Europe. Montenegro is not a member of the European Union, but it is a member of NATO. Despite the fact that Montenegro is not yet an EU Member State, people do pay with the euro. Montenegro may be small, but this beautiful nation has a huge array of natural and man-made wonders. Once overlooked in favor of more famous Mediterranean countries, Montenegro is quickly gaining a reputation as a great place to travel. It's easy to see why. The mountainous hinterland is home to deep gorges, flowing rivers, glacial lakes and old-growth forests, popular for adventure activities. The winding coast runs along pretty blonde bays overlooking the royal blue Adriatic Sea, ancient Venetian villages and UNESCO-walled towns. Podgorica is the capital city of Montenegro. Its rivers and bridges include the modern Millennium Bridge over the Morača River, and the stone bridge spanning the Ribnica River. The centuries-old Clock Tower, built by the Turks, dominates the old town.

Cetinje used to be the capital of Montenegro, but in 1946 it became Podgorica. The city was then called by a different name, namely Titograd, named after the Yugoslav president Tito, who died in 1980. In 1992 it was renamed Podgorica. Characteristic are the modern buildings, green parks, but also the large gray streets and buildings. The "new cathedral" Hristovog Vaskrsenja cathedral (as it is known in Podgorica) is great to visit. Built between 1993 and 2013, this must be one of the most spectacular cathedrals built in the last century. The large dome, the large towers with white stones and golden crosses of this immense new Serbian Orthodox cathedral are amazing. The inside with many frescoes is also impressive to see. The large central dome with supporting semi-domes is a sight to behold. The large chandeliers; the wall-to-wall murals and the beautiful marble floor. The cathedral has only been open since 2014. The interiors are enriched with iconography. The artistic decoration inside will blow your minds. Since the cathedral is quite new, the details are bright and clear. The locals are sometimes a bit disdainful of the cathedral - they prefer the really old churches with a lot of history - but the interior is beautiful.

Cologne, Agnes-Viertel, graffiti on Hansaring.

The graffiti directly in front of the train tracks at Hansaring 74 has been enriching the city of Cologne since August 2019 and is based on the idea of making people waiting to think. The painting shows the city of Cologne, outlined with its districts, which can be divided by the city's 300 renowned graffiti sprayers. The Rhine is also depicted and runs red through the graffiti. Inspired by a sketch by Bene Schweikert, which was shown as part of the Graffiti & Street Art Festival BundeskunstHALL OF FAME in the Bundeskunsthalle in 2015, the artists Julian Krieger and Babak Soltani, in collaboration with the Dedicated Store Cologne, created the first major work created by graffiti sprayers for graffiti sprayers. The symbolism of the graffiti gave rise to the hashtag #keinstreetart.

The plastic ball contains some delicious food for the North American river otters. The problem for Jet, the male otter, is that the ball is hanging from a chain. Removing his breakfast is no easy task!

In the wild, food is not served to animals in bowls. Zoos use "enrichment" techniques to make the residents solve problems and work for their meals. Therefore, they're behaving the way they would in a natural environment.

In 1613 the newly-enriched Sir Baptist Hicks began work on a house in Chipping Campden. It was a noble edifice in the latest fashion with intricate gardens. 30 years later it was destroyed by Royalists, when in 1645 they withdrew from the town. ‘The house (which was so faire) burnt,’ noted one sadly.

Only a shell was left, now shrunk to a single fragment. But other lesser buildings escaped the fire and are still there, together with the raised walks of the garden.

The East and West Banqueting Houses are the most substantial remnants of the original building. They stand at either end of the broad terrace that ran along the garden in front of Old Campden House. They serve as a reminder of the richness and quality of the main house before it was razed to the ground. Today it is one of the most important Jacobean sites in the country and a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

It has been owned by the Landmark Trust since 1987 and is now a very stylish holiday let.

The name 'Coneygree' is derived from ‘Conyger’ and was an area set aside for raising of rabbits. Largely through the efforts of local benefactor Frederick Landseer Griggs, the Coneygree was bought by the National Trust for £1,500 in May 1934.

Frederick Landseer Maur Griggs (1876-1938), etcher, draughtsman and illustrator, came to Campden in 1903. In 1925 he founded the Campden Society to protect the town’s heritage and also saved Dover’s Hill for Campden in 1926.

Goats love almost any kind of enrichment.

Violet, the muntjac deer, has recently given birth to her second child. While I was unable to see the fawn, Mom did come out to check for some food. Unfortunately, the lettuce was gone from the clips on the enrichment piece, so Violet had to settle on food from a bowl.
