What do you do when your friend wants to enter the V.O.C. ship and you don't.....
Well, you sit on the stairs and wait patiently for your friend to return.
These are the stairs in front of the 'Nemo' museum, she's looking towards the V.O.C. ship.

Shot at the new edition of the World Port Days of Rotterdam. here. Number 2 of the street shots I made there to get further acquainted with the Lumix GX9.
The Dutch National Police was on strike at the World Port Days and the goings at the festivities were monitored by 'crowd managers' of TSC, a private security corporation.

Common Squirrel Monkey (Saimiri sciureus)
As a kind of preparation for our upcoming vacation I wanted to make some test shots. That's why I took my new portrait lens and girlfriend to the Apenheul. This Zoo in Apeldoorn (the Netherlands) is famous for it's free ranging primates (monkeys).
Furthermore I wanted to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year (2010) photo exhibition. This exhibition has been a great source of inspiration to me and I would like to recommend it to everybody (open till 30 September 2010).

Gebrild Doodshoofdaapje (Saimiri sciureus)
Ter voorbereiding op onze komende vakantie wilde ik nog wat test foto's maken. Dit was de reden om mijn nieuwe portret lens en vriendin mee te slepen naar de Apenheul. Deze dierentuin in Apeldoorn is beroemd vanwege de loslopende primaten (apen).
Daarnaast wilde ik ook de Wildlife Photographer of the Year (2010) fototentoonstelling zien. Het was echt een geweldige bron van inspiratie voor mij en raad dan ook iedereen aan om de fototentoonstelling te bekijken (dit kan nog tot 30 september 2010).
