To my fabulous, ever thoughtful & precious Mom, wishing you the happiest of Mother's Day! Thank you for being you & teaching me to be me, love you so much cara Mamma!
In a food processor blend together :
8 oz cream cheese softened
1 stick butter softened
In clean food processor bowl, chop 2 cloves fresh peeled garlic, with a bit of sea salt (or plain table salt), a dash of freshly cracked pepper, and then (using on-and-off-again pulsing), add a can of pitted black olives. Keep the olives a bit on the chunky side ...
Now, in a bowl, blend gently the creamed mixture with the chopped olive mixture ... and put into a serving dish .. let rest overnight, or for several hours, for the full flavors to meld and come to full intensity.
Serve on crackers or bread rounds ... I love this stuff! It is quite addictive for my brother and I!

I am going to play an encore as the audience asks for it ;)
Spanish women's life expectancy - one of the European Union's highest - is at 87 years...Then, according to it, more or less I am starting my 2nd life half segment - because the 22nd I'll be 44 -
Let's go there !!!
I hope to continue enjoying myself as now
(This pic was taken by Manuel García Hornillos)
And finally this is really the last one of a miniserie: some pictures that make me smile :)
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind ...

“May You Be Inscribed and Sealed (in the Book of Life) for a Good Year.”
Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah starts on the first day of the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar, Tishrei. Rosh Hashanah is the ‘Days of Awe’ (Yamim Noraim), or ten days of repentance (Asseret Yemei Teshuva) that specifically conclude with the holiday of Yom Kippur or the ‘Day of Atonement.’ In all around the world, all Jews send greeting as L' shana tova or simply Shanah Tovah to wish for Rosh Hashanah.
Rosh Hashanah is the first of the High Holidays or Yamim Noraim or Asseret Yemei Teshuva. During this holiday, Jews in the world send their warmest wishes to their family and friends such as L shana tova, Shana Tova, and Shana Tova U’Metukah. They also send honey cake that symbolizes a sweet new year. L shana tova is short form of “L’Shanah Tovah Techatemu VeTikatevu” that means “May You Be Inscribed and Sealed (in the Book of Life) for a Good Year.” Shana Tova is the usual greeting on Rosh Hashanah, that meaning in Hebrew is “A Good Year.” “Shana Tova U’Metukah” is also used as greetings by people which means “good and sweet year.”
It was a cold, overcast, rainy miserable morning when I spotted this funeral puddle . A poignant reminder that for some today was far worst. I am thankful for my families good health. Cause when it comes down to it thats all that really matters. Condolences to those that need them and take care friends.

these were bathed in a golden glow at dusk and I am obsessed with these flowers ...
Enjoy yourself. Found in Jes' vintage postcard collection, this is nearly 100 years old, but still excellent advice.

Enjoy Yourself
We went for a quick backyard walk this morning and she was so happy she was wagging her tail really fast. It looked like a big fur blur in this photo!
The Gulf Fritillary is a striking, bright orange butterfly of the family Nymphalidae and sub-family Heliconiinae. It was formerly classified in a separate family, the Heliconiidae or longwing butterflies, and like other longwings it does have long, rather narrow wings in comparison with other butterflies. It is not closely related to the true fritillaries. It is a medium to large butterfly, with a wingspan of from 6 to 9.5 cm. Its underwings are buff, with large silvery spots. It takes its name from the fact that migrating flights of the butterflies are sometimes seen over the Gulf of Mexico.

This colorful flower has a tiny visitor who is enjoying it's taste enormously!
Glorious rosy-pink blooms bobbing atop hardy native plants that bloom freely over a very long season--is there a simpler or more beautiful plant for the garden than this Coneflower? Unlike other Echinaceas, Bravado holds its extra-wide petals out flat, offering up even more color from late spring until the cold fall weather sets in. The blooms are 4 to 5 inches wide, their hue varying from light cotton-candy pink to deep magenta-tinged rose. And the cheery golden-brown cones, which bring in the butterflies and bees, are superb for drying and using in everlasting arrangements!
03-03-10 Busy day today. Dissertation meeting and a massive lab session for another module. Also had a band practice, I didn't have a shot till very late on. After the practice I shot a picture of this sign that hangs in our rehearsal room I don't know who put it there. It was there when we moved in. Anyway that's the shot. Processed in Colour efex pro with a default cross processing treatment.

Images Viewed: Lance Szydzik has set up a "365 support group" for us 365ers on flickr. He has graciously added me as one of the stand out contributors to the group! Thanks lance. I took the opportunity to check out some of the other stand out members and also the photographers who added me due to his post.
Other Inspiration: My wife has an interview for the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery tomorrow. She is running around trying to prepare. I want to let her know that she is my primary source of inspiration and that I am sure she will knock their socks off tomorrow. You go get them girl.

Potato pancakes, known as latkes in Yiddish, are traditionally associated with Hanukkah, (especially among Ashkenazi families) in particular because there is a custom to eat foods fried or baked in oil, preferably olive oil, as the original miracle of the Hanukkah menorah involved the discovery of the small flask of oil used by the Jewish High Priest (the Kohen Gadol). Many Sephardic families as well as Polish Ashkenazim and Israelis have the custom to eat all kinds of doughnuts (bimuelos or sufganiyot) which are deep-fried in oil.

Tasku doesn't get to go to the forest very often so when she does it has to be included in our project. It was a dull afternoon but that didn't matter to her, she had a wonderful time. I'm lucky that, unlike Taivas, Tasku isn't the slightest bit interested in the forest animals - you can see the ponies and cattle behind her. This means she can be off lead the whole time which makes it more fun for both of us :o)

Half hinched this idea from "The Simpsons" I like to think of a 365 as a joyfull experience and not something I "HAVE" to do.
