This old flatbed truck sitting peacefully in a South Dakota field is pretty much complete except for an important component, the engine!

The steam engine by "Haslam Foundry & Engineering Co. Ltd. Derby England" produced electricity for the whole factory, for light, the machines, for cooling of the 12 storage rooms 5 cooling cellars, where they were able to store 180000 carcasses and 850000 tons of final products. The basic element for cooling was ammonia. And it's gettin' wild’

I think it was a 'vette. I don't usually shoot the whole car, preferring to focus on the details. Sometimes, that leads me to forget what the car was.

When the captain shouts out all ahead full, a sailor pulls a mechanical lever that sends a signal to the engine room, and the engineers here apply the proper amount of steam pressure to obey the order from above.

For an account of my trip to Cornwall, with more pictures from the old mines, and lots of interest to anyone who’s watched Poldark:
The last weeks I was very busy I shot a lots of pictures mostly of urban locations. I've got a friend who works for a train company I ask him for some nice and urban locations. This is a picture from the second location because someone changed the locks at the first location so we couldn't get inside. I really like this old Engine Shed, It's not 100% urban, a few things were renovated but the old walls and windows still look good
I wish everyone a nice start into the new week. Enjoy my Picture and be prepared for a few more pictures from this location I will upload soon :-)
This is a close-up photo of rusting, weathered details on an old train engine at the Railway Museum in Musquodoboit Harbour.
An overview of Lehigh Valley’s Bethlehem Engine Terminal reveals a variety of power in various states of readiness. As an SW1 leaves the turntable and heads out to work, two RS-11’s are on one of the turntable tracks, and the cab of an RS-3 can be seen in the servicing area. Farther out on the servicing tracks, a set of C420’s is being reconfigured, while a Reading/B&O power set is on the ready track. This power came in on train NE-84, and will take NE-87 to Potomac Yard after it arrives in the Lehigh Valley.

By June of 1974, the service life of Southern Pacific's Fairbanks-Morse H-24-66 "Train Master" locomotives was winding down. In this fine roster shot, 3021 is missing a few parts when photographed in SP's San Jose, California yard.
SP rostered 16 of the beasts, and two of them were demonstrators. Dressed in "Black Widow" paint and delivered in 1953, the Fairbanks-Morse H-24-66, dubbed the "Train Master", was known for its substantial car body. At 2,400 hp, it was the highest-horsepower road switcher on the market when introduced.
While initially praised for its high power output, the complex opposed-piston engine and other design features led to maintenance challenges, ultimately impacting its overall acceptance and the eventual departure of FM from the locomotive industry.
Southern Pacific utilized them for heavy freight and passenger service. In their final years, they could be found pulling commuter rail trains up and down the peninsula between San Francisco and San Jose, California.
