About three weeks ago, Noah, the "groom to be" in this shot, contacted me about shooting the moment he popped the question to his lovely girlfriend Liz.
He wanted to do it at a waterfall and after some searching found my shots of Caney Creek and contacted me about shooting them there.
He also got three of his friends to bring a table, two chairs, table cloth, champagne, two glasses and some roses and set them up by the falls.
Liz had no idea what was going on. When they came down to the falls, all of their friends were hiding and I acted like I was just there taking pictures. Then he gave her a card that said, "Will you marry me?" on it, got down on one knee and presented the ring to her. She, of course said yes.
This is just one of many cool shots I got of them today. More to come...... :-)
This is my first time posting an engagement picture, but this one of my best friend Jake and his fiance Marisa really stood out to me during our photo session. This was taken in Philadelphia, and really captures the historic feel of the city, which to me, is much warmer and inviting than what I typically think of when I think of a modern day city.
Hello everyone!
Back from OS and I am ENGAGED! Yeah, I know, "shut up dean, it's not like you haven't been posting it all over the internet" :P I am super excited to be engaged though! This is a photo of Ollie and I straight after the engagement and where the engagement occurred (Grotte di Catullo, Sermione, Italy).
I am getting back into the swing of things. I have filmed a couple of videos for YouTube, taken a few doll photos for you all. Caught up on YouTube, FB, and now Flickr. And I have recently started using Instagram (@deanreen) : www.instagram.com/deanreen/
I think my Instagram is going to have more of a personal theme to it as most of the photos will be taken directly with my new iPod. So don't expect anything high quality and artsy :P
Sometime soon I am going to find some time to comb through all our holiday pics and make some collages etc. to post here just like I did last time. If you would like to hear me ramble on about the trip I have posted a video on YouTube: youtu.be/UjnAkaaI-6Y
Still recovering from jet lag though. It has lasted a lot longer than it usually does this time round. But I am over the worst of it.
Hoping you all are well! <3
This orangutan at the Birmingham Zoo was quite observant and playful this past Monday. While it was difficult to shoot him through glass, I was able to get a good shot when he crawled between two rocks and looked me right in the eye.
This was actually taken a couple of months ago. I wasn't crazy about it at first, and now it's totally grown on me.
Sometimes I have no idea where to put that darned logo. But there are too many thieves out there to leave it without logo and quiet watermark.
Was asked last week by a former Coach of one of my boys to be the Engagement/Wedding Photographer for him and his Fiancee. He knows I do photography, thus his question to me.
Problem is: I have no experience in doing this, so politely declined to do it...
...for a fee.
Instead I offered to do both gratis so that I could see whether or not I can do this. I insisted however that they hire a Wedding Photographer with experience, and I'll just stay in the background during the wedding doing my own thing.
Here is one of the 800+ pictures I took of the beautiful couple at Dana Point Beach.
Will be posting more in the coming days.
Southern California.
so did I get proposed to? did I say yes? or is it just a bit of costume jewellery?
I will let you all decide that one.
Share our Joy!
A long-time member, Sandy S, has announced her engagement to this handsome man. We hope you will both be very happy! You're both lucky to have found each other.
