♡ Gravity Poses - "Felicity" coming to Cosmopolitan March 20th!
A very energetic and delightful little bird, size of a kids palm maybe. The birds breed during rains and are usually seen after the first rains. These birds have a very nice and easy to remember call, a two noted call "Chirp Chirp" which is very easy to hear and id, but the bird itself is very hard to sight in the grass / natural habitat.
There are only a handful times where I got decent shots of this bird since they always stick to the grass. They are easy to hear and last season in a grassland, we heard 100's of them bursting with energy at the same time and it was a truly memorable experience. There was a swathe of green grass till the land meets the sky, and calls of this quail were everywhere.
I don't remember this shot at all and unsure how I missed processing it. But here it is now! My best shot of the Rain Quail - I am delighted.
Thanks in advance for your views and feedback. Much appreciated.
Small energetic plover with a fine bill, white underparts, and pale gray back. Lacks breast band. Adult has an obvious rusty-red cap, whereas juvenile has varying reddish tinges on the back of the head. Occurs beside a wide variety of saline wetlands where it moves quickly as it forages along the ground. Common around inland lakes as well as at the coast. (eBird)

Sparkling Violetears - at Ensifera Bird Watching - Peru.
The Sparkling Violetear is one of the most widely distributed species of hummingbird in the Andes, as it occurs from northern Venezuela south to northwestern Argentina; it also has an outpost on the tepuis of southern Venezuela and adjacent northern Brazil. In common with other species of violetear, it is not a bird of deep forest. Instead it is found at forest edge and open areas with scattered shrubs; it also adapts to nonnative flowering trees such as Eucalyptus. Sparkling Violetears are energetic songsters, and repeat their simple song for long periods of time. They are also very aggressive but here they are in peace, even if for a short time!
Wishing everyone a Peaceful Blue Monday!!

This is my best shot so far of a very cute, very energetic Golden-crowned Kinglet. Peace Valley Park, New Britain PA.
The Carolina Wren is easily recognized by the white stripe above each eye and its distinctive "tail-up" posture that it assumes as it flits about the bushes. Energetic and vocal this little wren has one of the loudest songs of any small bird. Males sing their “tea-kettle-tea-kettle-tea-kettle-tea." song hundreds of times a day, all year long. One particularly busy bird was recorded singing almost 3,000 times in a single day!
Carolina wrens form lifelong pair bonds and pairs often stay together for years. The birds move and feed together, where you see one, you will usually see its mate foraging close by. The pair works together to build a nest, which can be in a tree hole or on a branch, but Carolina wrens are well known for choosing to nest in man made structures such as mail boxes, door wreaths, flower pots, or even a cardboard box in a garage. They use sticks, hair, feathers, and anything that looks suitable—even shed snake skins. They often build multiple nests then select one to raise their chicks.
When feeding, a Carolina wren hops around on the ground and in the underbrush turning over dead leaves, and probing cracks and crannies for spiders, insects and larvae. They also eat fruit and berries, but rarely come to bird feeders.
I found this one in my backyard in Polk County, Florida.

Considered rare to the area although sightings seem to be increasing over the last few years. Usually gone by mid-October.

Between energetic intervals among a group of Common Merganser males and females (such as seen in the previous image www.flickr.com/photos/luminouscompositions/52002325527/in... ), there were periods of rest and relaxation. Those times included the maintenance activity of preening, which this image of a female shows well. I particularly like how the serrated mandibles are evident in this photo, a feature that is recognized in the French common name “bec-scie,” meaning saw-bill. Those pointed projections are an adaptation to grasp the slippery fish that are their main prey, which they dive after. This bird was at Inglewood Bird Sanctuary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The accessories were made from many cypraeas and should have taken long time to assemble all of them. At Taum Island, Papua New Guinea.
A colorful, energetic warbler of northern forests, the Canada Warbler spends little time on its breeding grounds. It is one of the last warblers to arrive north in the spring, and one of the first to leave in the fall to return to its South American wintering grounds. This steely gray and yellow songbird is sometimes called the "necklaced warbler" thanks to the bold black necklace that it wears across its chest.
So, spring is slowly rolling back through my mountains. At this elevation the trees aren't really budding yet, but at sunset with the sun in the background it hides that to an extent. This is Cowee Mountain Overlook along the blue ridge parkway, one of my favorite places to shoot sunset, that's both accessible, and gives a stunning view. Of course I knew what the weather conditions were before I went, and had planned to hit Craggy visitor center. I wasn't even going to stop here, but I noticed that the rays were really clear at this overlook, so I took a chance. This was an hour and a half before sunset. After taking this shot I drove on, only to discover that the rays were behind me, and the clouds ahead were not as energetic. So, in the interest of saving the drive, and not missing a shot I went back to ride out sunset on hopes and dreams.

Brolga
Grus rubicunda
Gruidae
One of the most obvious features of the Brolga’s behaviour is its courtship display, an elaborate dance. The dance begins with a pair of birds picking up grass, tossing it into the air and catching it again. This is followed by the birds repeatedly leaping a metre into the air with wings outstretched, followed by stretching their necks upwards, bowing to one another, bobbing their heads, walking about and calling. Sometimes the dance is done alone or in a group, with the birds lining up opposite one another.
Description: The Brolga is a large grey crane, with a featherless red head and grey crown. The legs are grey and there is a black dewlap under the chin. Females are shorter than males. The energetic dance performed by the Brolga is a spectacular sight. Displays may be given at any time of the year and by birds of any age.
Similar Species: The Sarus Crane, G. antigone, another species of crane found in Australia, can be identified by its dull pink legs and the red of its head extending down the neck.
Distribution: The Brolga is found across tropical northern Australia, southwards through north-east and east central areas, as well as central New South Wales to western Victoria.
Habitat: The Brolga inhabits large open wetlands, grassy plains, coastal mudflats and irrigated croplands and, less frequently, mangrove-studded creeks and estuaries. It is less common in arid and semi-arid regions, but will occur close to water.
Feeding: Brolgas are omnivorous (feeding on both vegetable and animal matter), but primarily feed upon tubers and some crops. Some insects, molluscs, amphibians and even mice are also taken.
Breeding: Brolgas probably mate for life, and pair bonds are strengthened during elaborate courtship displays, which involve much dancing, leaping, wing-flapping and loud trumpeting. An isolated territory is established, and is vigorously defended by both partners. The white (blotched with brown and purple) eggs are laid in a single clutch. The nest is a large mound of vegetation on a small island in a shallow waterway or swamp. Both adults incubate the eggs and care for the young birds.

Considered rare. Subtle color/tones gives this species a drab easy to miss appearance. Frequently mistaken for a Wasp. Five years ago, it was considered common in this location. This year's four specimens are the first there observed since then.

A Squirrel And His Nuts...
Up and out early this morning to get some shots. it was mostly overcast and really cold, i made my way down the street to the nearby school.
This hyper energetic little squirrel working in overdrive to collect and stash all the nuts and other food he can for a long winter. he hides them in the most ridiculous places and i am sure most of them are found by a completely different squirrel than the one who hid them.

The physical sun is the realm of the higher souls of the more pure and evolutionary in the Cosmos. Your soul has to be very pure and high evolutionally to be able to enter the heavenly realms of the Sun. All the other angelic souls go the Moon realm and planetary realms and the non so evolutionary souls go to the Nether worlds below Earth, to the Patala underworlds or Ades of the ancient Greeks. Below Ades or Patala is Naraka what we call Hell worlds or Tartara in ancient Greek.
The souls that live now in the Sun realm we may call them gods for they are responsible and guardians of the Earth and the planetary worlds. The fate and destiny of the Earth is in their hands and they control its fate.
Now we enter the Solar maximum when we have many explosions of the sun in the form of flares bombarding our Earth and its (magnetic) atmosphere. These flares now have significant power and energy energising the Earth and its inhabitants. The flares that hit the Earth in this period of Solar maximum will have a great spiritual and energetic and purifying effect in all beings now living on Earth. The physical beings now living on Earth even the plants and animals will have to be purified in order to withstand these higher energies coming from the Sun. Not everyone will manage to withstand these purifications waves coming from the sun and many will succumb to them not being able to withstanding its energies for they have not been prepared by God to handle these high elevated energies. Many will suffer from illnesses and various karmas not being able to handle these purifying energies. The purification of the energy of the sun will continue non stop through this year and the next till all that remains on Earth is purified.
Many souls knew this coming and had prepare themselves by purifying their bodies with pure sathwic foods and purifying their minds and heart with godly thoughts and sentiments loving all Gods creations. The Avatar of the Lord also descended on Earth and gathered the lovers of God beside Him the previous decades and gave them the instructions and teachings necessary to purify their souls and bodies to be able to withstand the purification rays coming from the sun this solar maximum.
From this purification that is now happening from the Sun rays and flares all the consciousness on Earth will rise to an unprecedented level heralding the Golden Age of humanity and closing the Kali Yuga of wars and strife and vengeance among the souls now living on Earth.
The Earth and its inhabitants are now entering a new Era of peace and love and truth and justice after this purification ends in the next two years and only those who will withstand this purification happening now will continue to live and inhabit the Earth.
Only deva, that is God like people will walk on the surface of the Earth during this Golden Age of humanity called by the Veda as the Sathya Yuga, the Age of Truth.
So do not be afraid and in panic for the gods living now in the Sun realm know what are they doing and how they will use the flares that are ejected by the sun. They hold the destiny of Earth in their hands trusted by the almighty God fully in unison with Him. At the right time a big flare will emanate from the Sun that will finish the purification process and then Earth and its inhabitants will shine in a new splendour, the splendour of the Golden Age of Truth !

As the swan approached to the margin of the water, I thought it perhaps had designs on our picnic lunch. (A woman on the seat next to us beat a hasty retreat.)
But the swan soon resumed its preening, which it had started in the water, and finally was energetically removing, with its beak, tiny feathers which fluttered down to the pebbly shore.
