Lugar al que tenía muchas ganas de ir a fotografiar para mostrar mi visión personal del mismo. Mientras en Bizkaia la luz era un churro, al ir acercándome a Donosti la cosa iba cambiado claramente a mejor.
Para ser honestos la foto se puede decir que es a medias con mi amigo @jorgereyazabal que me llevó al lugar y me animó y ayudó a encaramarme a las rocas desde donde está hecha la foto. Con mucho cuidado si os animáis a ir. Gracias Jorge!!!.
En cuanto a la foto aposté todo a ese encuadre, esperando la luz adecuada sin moverme del sitio. La idea que tenía en la cabeza es que la luz del sol viniera hacia mi y tiñera todo de su color. Eso para la próxima vez que vaya.
Por lo demás, recuperando sensaciones perdidas en los últimos meses fotográficamente hablando 💪💪

As I walked through the forest I could see a clearing just ahead, the fog thick beyond. I stopped and enjoyed the absence of all sound. (except my camera shutter) Of course driving a semi every day has probably cost me a few decibels of hearing, but still, the quiet was almost overwhelming, in a good way.
Took this near the "Once upon a time", picture in the forest behind the rest area near Oakland, Oregon.
From a snow hike last Friday to the Hohe Acht, the highest mountain in the Eifel.

Una muy fría mañana la que pasamos @alaingarciago y el que escribe la del sábado pasado. Nos calentamos corriendo de aquí para allá en busca de las pocas nubes que cogieron algo de color y las lánguidas olas que nos venían a visitar hasta la orilla muy de vez en cuando. Unas rocas que no conocía en persona pero que me impactaron nada más verlas en foto. Formación más típica quizá de la costa asturiana que de la vasca. El caso es que ni la marea ni el cielo acompañaron como debían, pero, como dije antes. Las puntas de la roca me encantan. Lo mejor de esa mañana, el spray que levantaban las olas al llegar a la costa. Así que tocará volver en mejores condiciones. Allá por verano y marea más baja y movida…

Our walk in the snow on Sunday morning. The forest looked magical.

Taken in the Enchanted forest in Pitlochry, Scotland. (www.enchantedforest.org.uk/) It is a light and sound show that takes place in the Autumn in Faskally Forest.
I admit I had trouble with the lighting in this shot. The center was so light that the trees of the forest came out really dark in the original shot. I did some post-processing to let the variety of fall colors come out and decided to go for a dreamy, fairy-tale like softer look. Will upload the non-dreamy version later for comparison.

📍 Fforest Fawr, Wales
On a misty morning walk through Fforest Fawr (next to Castle Coch), I found this blanket of orange saplings below some gnarly trees.
It was a tricky shot to get. The incline was a lot steeper than it looks, the mist was turning to drizzle, and it was the last shot I took after hours spent wandering the woods. I'm glad I persisted though - finally finding a composition with separation between the trees and balance in the frame.
The walk wasn't without it's frustrations though! I first walked to the top of the hill before realising that I had left my tripod mount on my long lens. So, it was a walk back to the car and a trudge back up the hill! Next, I had already discovered that my new Lee Polarising Filter let rain in behind it (not an issue on my cheaper old Hoya screw-on filter) on a previous walk - but on this shoot my lens fogged up, softening my photos, which I hadn't noticed straight away. And finally, I got lost!... Well a bit... I had wandered much further from my car than I had realised when I exited the woods into a housing estate. Giving me another trudge back to the car...
