Some beach somewhere, the sun is shining on an empty chair, a warm breeze is blowing, I picture myself right there, on some beach somewhere......

Just a few yards off of the main road of the Antelope Valley Poppy Preserve, you'll find piles of used furniture and junk piles....the landfill of the desert, unfortunately found everywhere out there these days. Some of it is fairly photogenic, however.

Can't tell you how much I love taking photos of empty chairs. Maybe it's because I really love Don McLean's song, Empty Chairs. The emptiness always has its own stories to tell. I guess I'm fascinated by the things I can imagine.

Outdoor Symbolic Memorial
The Outdoor Symbolic Memorial stands on the now-sacred ground where the events of April 19, 1995, unfolded. What was once the footprint of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, Fifth Street, the Athenian Building and Oklahoma Water Resources Board are now the Field of Empty Chairs, Reflecting Pool and Rescuers’ Orchard. The memorial is an affiliate of the National Park System.

Paris RER is 5 express train lines connecting Paris city centre to surrounding suburbs.
The title refers to an exhibition at the Nottingham Contemporary Gallery in Nottingham. It brings together over 30 leading artists and groups from the “golden years” of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (early 1960s to the mid 1980s.)
Over 100 artworks and artefacts illuminate the key contradictions of the single party state. It's beautifully set up and curated. If you're in Nottingham worth a visit until the exhibit changes in March.
