Parallel zur Silvretta Classic legen die Elektroautos an zwei Wettkampftagen insgesamt über 260 Kilometer mit vielen Zeit- und Geschicklichkeitsprüfungen zurück.

Ford is planning to nearly double production capacity of the all-electric F-150 Lightning
pickup to 150,000 vehicles per year at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn,
Michigan, to meet soaring customer demand.
Im Jahr 2017 vereinte China bereits knapp ein Drittel der weltweiten Kapazität an erneuerbaren Energien. Die Kapazität erneuerbarer Energien pro Einwohner (ohne Wasserkraft) ist in Deutschland allerdings um den Faktor 6 höher.
Allein über die Hälfte (54%) des weltweiten Kapazitätszuwachs im Bereich Photovoltaik im Jahr 2017 erfolgte in China. Innerhalb Chinas stellte dieser massive Ausbau erstmals den höchsten Anteil vor allen anderen (auch fossilen) Energieträgern.
Für Photovoltaik-Modul-Hersteller und für die Errichtung von Solarstromanlagen gibt es erhebliche ökonomische Anreize. China dominiert mittlerweile den Weltmarkt mit 60% der globalen Produktionskapazität im Jahr 2017. Die staat-
liche Förderung von Herstellern von Solarmodulen ist jedoch international heftig umstritten und hat aus wettbewerbsrechtlichen Gründen zu Strafzöllen seitens der EU und anderer Länder geführt.
In China hat sich der Sektor der erneuerbaren Energien zum Jobmotor entwickelt: Im Jahr 2017 waren hier 3,9 Mio. Personen direkt oder indirekt beschäftigt, die meisten davon im Bereich der Photovoltaik (2,22 Mio.), gefolgt von Solarthermie (0,67 Mio.) und von der Windkraft (0,51 Mio.). Auch in Deutschland ist dieser Sektor (noch) von großer Bedeutung: Bei uns sind immerhin 332.000 Personen hier tätig.
Nicht zuletzt dank großzügiger staatlicher Förderung ist China im Bereich Elektromobilität den meisten Industrieländern weit voraus. Seit Langen sind hier etwa E-Bikes in Gebrauch. Auch für Elektroautos gibt es inzwischen namhafte Hersteller wie BYD, BAIC BJEV oder SAIC.

Developed from the ground up as a fully-electric truck on GM’s advanced Ultium EV Platform, the Silverado EV offers a combination of capability, performance and versatility, along with advanced technologies that can evolve the vehicle over time. In spring 2023, the Silverado EV will debut a WT model offering a large range battery with an expected GM-estimated range of over 400 miles on a full charge. In the fall of 2023, a fully loaded RST First Edition model, also including a 400-mile range, will debut with an MSRP of $105,000 + DFC.
