Near Brutus during last summer’s journey home from Mackinac.

Set off early for my usual Light Painting meet-up with Phill. So we risked getting a possible sunset shot. Met Phill in the Car Park and walked the mile and a half out onto St. Aldhelm's Head. We found a couple of suitable spots and set -up and waited for the sun to set as there was a thin clear line on the horizon and the cloud cover was just high enough to tempt us to stay until the sun had set. I was lucky to get this shot as the sunset lasted about 3 minutes and the panoramic shots I tried didn't line-up in Lightroom and I couldn't be arsed to stitch them manually, however was very happy to borrow Phill's new 20mm Sony lens for this shot.

I am very excited for the Lego Movie coming out this Friday (or Thursday). I've decided to release photos of certain characters from the Lego Movie throughout the week leading up to the premiere! I thought it appropriate to start with Emmet the lead in the movie. I have yet to get the normal Emmet minifigure so I decided to use the hard hat variant I got from the Lego Movie minifigure series. I'm most excited for all the Lego Fan easter eggs that are going to be in the movie!

As part of the awareness campaign for the release of The LEGO Movie on DVD (21st July, if you're interested) I've been shooting movie star Emmet at key events and locations during the summer. Luckily he ducked before the ball hit him during the Championships at Wimbledon :)
