Acrylic on canvas. 12 in. x 12 in. Just for fun. Complete.

A single eye peers out from the darkness, steady and unblinking, as if guarding something fragile and unseen. Wrapped in shadows, the child becomes part mystery, part mirror — reflecting the emotions we often hide and the stories we rarely tell.

There is no fear here, only presence — a calm awareness that speaks louder than words. The way the hand gently presses to the cheek adds a softness, a vulnerability, that deepens the impact. This is the language of silence, of being seen without speaking, of emotion that lingers just beneath the surface.

This portrait invites the viewer into a quiet moment of connection — brief, but unforgettable.

Continuing progress -- just needs signature and varnish.

“Dissolution of Being” is a mixed media portrait born from a moment of silence and introspection.

The face dissolves into fluid ink, mirroring the elusive nature of thought and self.
