This is yet another Queen Anne style home, much like the first one I posted. Although this one is quite a bit larger by 500 square feet, (it has fewer bedrooms); it, too, has many of the same similarities. It is located in the historic district also, only about a block or two away from the previous one.
Fun to compare similarities! Hope you all enjoy!

366 - I’ve decided to do this to force me to pick up a camera other than when we are away on our travels (they will be posted as normal) - I will be interested to see what transpires, they will be varied I’m sure so we’ll see where inspiration takes me over the course of the year, hopefully at the end of it I will be a better photographer. Feel free to critique as you see fit, but please don’t feel obliged, I anticipate they will not be to all tastes. Have a great year and if you also have embarked on a 365 project then good luck in seeing it through, Alan:-)

Here are photos of the tornado forming, along with a description of each.
My friend, Nick Lee, is a storm spotter. He and I were out taking these
photos that day. He is the copyright owner and has given me permission to
share them with you.

Description of photos:
Tornado-1: shows the storm coming around the corner into view.
Tornado-2: Inflow notch seen - this is where the air feeding the updraft was
located at.
Tornado-3 & 4: Tornado on ground getting closer to City of Cullman. At this
point it was passing Good Hope and going through Cullman County.
Tornado-5: Here you can see another vortex forming. What we were witnessing
was a rapid intensification of this storm from an EF2 to a multi-vortex EF4.
Tornado-6: Even though the funnel is hard to see, the tornado was still on
the ground. Here you can see the multiple vortexes spinning around the one
in the middle that looks like it is invisible.

The second round of this year’s RogueOlympics over on RogueBricks was about exploring the 'Internet'.
I had barely any time last week for the ROs - some three hours on a Sunday night was all that I could manage. So here's a simple little tale about ignoring the internet, I guess.
Can you recognise all the services that the minifigure is walking away from?
The RogueOlympics require you to stick to 101 elements or less so this little scene was built with a total of 98 bricks. It’s always great fun to work around those restrictions as it’s so different from most other contests, so of course I had to join.
Six more rounds to go, we barely started! Feel free to join in on the fun!
So I was going to blog a bit about bridges, balance, and beauty but I have totally ran out of time. Gotta catch a flight in 6 hours. Guess that post will have to wait. Till then, enjoy the colors :)

This lovely image of three Yellow-billed Oxpeckers perching on a Cape Buffalo was taken by Nelis Wolmarans on a recent South African tour. Ticks and other insects feasting on the host animal are removed by oxpeckers (a symbiotic relationship), although the overall merits of the oxpeckers behaviour is speculative as wounds on the animal are often kept open by the oxpeckers as they have a weak spot for blood (and in this instance only the oxpecker benefits!).

While taking photos of the seals I saw this picture with the couple silhouetted on the sand bar, the gull was a lucky extra but it really balanced the picture I think.
The Subsea 7 ship is in so close because it was laying suction or Gravity piles for a new wind farm to be constructed in the near future.

I always achieve a lots amazing stuff when I back to my hometown.For It is a little comparatively unfamiliar that made me observe the surrouding much more carefuly.
A re-sized photo that wouldn't upload before. And now issues on my work computer that won't allow me to view it. So I had to open it in Paint and then resize and then email it to myself, and then email to Flickr. What a pain. But I don't want to lose any of my pictures, no matter how boring they are.
