A rare guest in my area - I had the pleasure of observing it near my home two years ago.

Would you believe that this is a staircase in a courthouse? It is. The Halle State Court is what I call the Neuschwanstein of german court buildings. Zoom in to enjoy the splendid details!
This image from last year expresses my anticipation for this year's bee-eater season. They are just arriving from their winter quarters, and I'm looking forward to meeting them again very soon 😊
