Leavin’ on a jet plane – LAX. The distinctive white Googie Theme Building, was built in, resembles a flying saucer that has landed on its four legs. A restaurant with a sweeping view of the airport is suspended beneath two arches that form the legs.

The 330-lb iron meteorite sits in the pickup truck of the man who originally dug it up from the sand of the El Segundo construction site many years earlier. He had kept it as a curio up until this date. This is the meteorite that ended up in the exhibit at the Griffith Observatory in Aug. 2024 (see other photos).
