The hill overlooking Brooksbottom viaduct was always a popular place to finish the day on the ELR and there was a chance of a nice glint.42765 and 5224 head north.I don't think you can see the viaduct anymore from here, the trees are so high.

The first day of 2023 Santa Specials on the East Lancs and pretty much perfect conditions as 34092 'City of Wells' crosses Summerseat Viaduct with the 09.30 Bury - Rawtenstall.
Sat 25th November 2023.
