I saw this orginal 57' Chevy sitting in a side street and thought it was a great photo opportunity and I decided to do a very Cubaish like edit.

A nifty little vintage gas station who's time has long past. I'm not sure what this was... perhaps a Pure station?

This section of Elm St. in the late afternoon had great sunlight, and if you were in the right place you could catch the sun reflecting off the Bank of America Building that made for some truly wonderful natural and reflected light. - Sadly, the Circle 3 Food Mart is a 7-11 the last time I was here. Image taken in February 2010, processed and shared October 2020.
While out and about in Portland we came upon this street sign. And how fitting seeings how it's so close to Halloween

It's hot outside today. We are staying inside for the most part. Noticed a few days will be in the 60's. I'll probably start shivering :)
There was some excitement today at the salon. The advertising department learned it needed to be a little more specific when using the word "headhunter". Twenty people got their hair done, five people got jobs and, fortunately, only one attendee lost his head!

Documenting the snow on Elm Street... 14 Elm Street (the red building on the left) is the Arts and Letters Club, which is a Toronto landmark. I knew it was a landmark to do with the Arts in Canada, however read a bit more about its interesting history after taking this photo. It is actually called 14 Elm Street.
Some history...The Arts and Letters club was devoted to the disciplines of literature, architecture, music, painting, sculpture and stage and quickly became a forcing-ground for ideas in all those disciplines. It was home to some legendary contributors to the Arts including the Group of Seven painters and other great names such as Robertson Davies, Vincent Massey, Marshall McLuhan, Eden Smith, Wyly Grier, Ernest MacMillan, Mavor Moore and many more.

Girls marching in the 1923 Victoria Day parade. They are in front of McCaul school (just north of Elm) on University Ave. in this picture, perfectly bowed and marching in lock-step. However you choose to enjoy the long weekend, have a good one!
