The rather endearing little train museum in Ellis is really just a caboose, a station (off camera to the right) and this fantastic tiny Aerotrain ride. Well worth the ten minute detour.

The Aerotrain was orginally produced by General Motors. This train is a pint sized version developed for amusement parks by Ottaway/Chance Manufacturing of Wichta, Kansas. The Ottaway family traveled across the country with their orginal miniature train. Eventually, they would found Joyland Park and ride manufacture in Wichita, Kansas. This train is one example. Very few of the Aero Train model were produced. This one can be seen at the Ellis, Kansas, Railroad Museum.

At Ellis King, on stage,

a most curious band,

43 tunes, each a gem,

its barrage sparingly engage,

its messy sprawl demanding

total immersion. - Drenched Co

Comment: "I spent forever researching this exhibition and the mapping/connections even in the separate 'rooms' eluded me. I got to know some fantastic artists working around the world. Some of the artworks stood out- Hayley's bowls (pictured), Zhou Tao's video and Emanuele Marcuccio's perforated plates. "- Raj

Key: 'System Of A Down' is a kickass Armenian-American band.

We lived here briefly in 1955 (I don't think the address above is correct, but that's what it is in the photo album. I would think it was several blocks to the east, and maybe 11th Street?)

A fight erupted right after the picture was taken, Ellis KS.

My mother, Jack Nicholson and me. I think the dachshund was Jack's. I don't know where the boxer came from.

The park and this building was build around a 100 years ago to convince the railroad to come thru town. Later Walter P Chrysler used them in his business. So says a local while we were feeding the ducks. Woops ... not me - that's illegal! :)

Ellis, Kansas is the home town of Walter P Chrysler. They have a museum, but I did not visit it.
