We setup camp here after 4-5 hours of hiking in the Satpura hills, washed ourselves, had lunch that we had carried from the town, sitting under a tree and drank the cool nourishing water of this stream.
Ghanshyam, my guide wrapped up the polythene bags to carry them back, commenting "Saab, yeh bhee apnaa ghar hai, ganda nahin karna chahiye" (Sir , this is also our home, we should not pollute it).

A friend tells me the 'Elixir Ultra Lounge' is ran by new people. I'm glad they have the same bouncer.
I was thinking a really ironic name for a band would be 'San Jose Nightlife.'
About this photo:
I was trying not to be sick for this weekend so much that I put Airborne inside of a really pulpy glass of orange juice. It was sharp, but what made it worse, is: i'd just brush my teeth. It's my desktop of the weak.

Creating gold from scratch - some chemical reactions produce beautifully looking products. The compound spinning on a Rotavap in this video looks like gold. Alchemists tried very hard to convert base metals into gold and to find a universal elixir. Did I finally succeed?
The solvent dissolving a hydroxyquinoline based substance in the flask needs to be gently removed in a rotary evaporator. I obtained this beautifully looking powder as a step in the synthesis of an unnatural amino acid that I am incorporating into enzymes to obtain artificial metalloenzymes.
The elixir of life, also known as the elixir of immortality or Dancing Water or Aab-e-Hayaat آب حیات and sometimes equated with the Philosopher's stone, is a legendary potion, or drink, that grants the drinker eternal life or eternal youth. Many practitioners of alchemy pursued it for two main reasons: either they sought the gift of immortality for its own sake, or they desired to spend as much time as possible practicing alchemy. The elixir of life was also said to be able to create life. It is related to the myths of Enoch, Thoth, and Hermes Trismegistus, all of whom in various tales are said to have drunk "the white drops" (liquid gold) and thus achieved immortality. It is also associated with the Qur'an's Al Khidr ('The Green Man'), and is mentioned in one of the Nag Hammadi texts.
