Here's wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! May the new year bring wonderful photographic opportunities and openings to start new friendships as well as strengthening old ones...
I'll be popping in & out of Flickr as time allows, but will likely have to wait till next week or early in the new year to catch up with your latest and greatest uploads.
Thank you so much for all your support and friendship over the years I have been here on Flickr, and some of you, even before that! :))
(This is Pony, an apt name, for as a Connemara/Quarter Horse cross, he is remarkably smart, expressive and stubborn. My daughter and I had permission to play with him last year. It was a fun photoshoot).
Please don't use this image on websites, blogs, etc. without my permission.
Note: Although I love favs, I will typically respond only to those who leave a comment.

I LOVE Luna!
21/25 - Hope everyone has a fantastic day!!!! Thank you so much my dear Flickr Friends for all the lovely comments regarding the family capture I posted yesterday!!!
I think not! The bar that has the Bigfoot statue behind it has these three on a bench in front. They appear to be chimpanzees, sculpted wearing clothing and illustrating see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. At the beginning of December I noticed they had been dressed up for Christmas.
"Elf hats" made by 2 of my grandchildren and me for "all of the cousins". They so enjoyed being able to be a part of creating these gifts of the heart.
May your Christmas be merry and bright. 🎄🌟

Happy Black Friday! Check out Fotodiox's YouTube channel today to see all the special deals we're offering today and this weekend.
The annual Turkey Trot held in my home village draws competitors from all over the country, up to 1,000 of them. This provides me with an ideal opportunity to find some people for my stranger project.
Ginny had just come out of the building in which the runners have to register along with a friend, both of whom were wearing Christmas headgear. I approached them and introduced the project to them and they both agreed to be photographed for it – you can see Ginny’s friend, Marijke, as my next stranger.
A nearby blue gate seemed like a perfect background as it was in the shade meaning I didn’t have to worry about the bright sunlight casting unflattering shadows. Unfortunately, I got some distracting highlights behind Ginny, but from whatever angle I tried I couldn’t exclude them from the shot. Ginny was easy to photograph and couldn’t stop smiling at me throughout the entire shoot, which resulted in a very happy looking portrait.
Ginny has been running since 1999 and belongs to the 4Life Tri club. She competes in events countrywide but prefers half-marathons to marathons. Ginny told me she also likes taking part in triathlons and had recently done a half Iron Man event. You can find out more about Ginny’s club here: www.britishtriathlon.org/clubs/4life-tri_1193
Ginny is the mother of two teenage sons and works at Nottingham University. She wouldn’t be able to live without her husband. Her first star crush had been on actor Robert Downey Jr. but decided to ‘dump’ him as he was to small for her! If Ginny could change one thing in the world it would be to remove all the plastic is our oceans.
Thank-you Ginny, for being great fun to photograph and I hope your run went well. I also hope you like your portrait.
This picture is #232 in the 100 Strangers project, yes, I’ve decided to do a third round. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page

This is one of my favorites of him in this hat. The basket has since become used for laundry and both handles have fallen off. I bought it specifically for the shoot.

i just wanted to stop by and wish you all a very happy holiday from roman, lexi and myself.
I have been making them for the shop. I love combining fibers, beads, charms, anything I can get my hands on.
Isn't she a darling! I got to use my new hat as well as another new headband with this little one. She is my first return family newborn (I photographed her big Brother just over two years ago)
Little Leah Marie stopped in for photos on her way home from the hospital. She's 2 days old and has the cutest little chipmunk cheeks you've ever seen.

from Amy Karol's Bend-the-Rules Sewing book. I hand-sewed the flowers on because my always turn out wonky on the sewing machine! The purple one is from a ribbed sweater and the lettuce leaf finish looks really cute on.
The wonderful little Elf, Willow, getting a message from Santa and thinking he said he wanted her to ride with him in his sleigh on Christmas Eve. See the jingle bell on the end of the hat? That's to help little boys and girls know that Santa has arrived at their house and they can open their presents!! The bell is the first gift given by Santa....just like in The Polar Express! Isn't she a lucky girl?

Fuzzy Elf on the Shelf
I must confess, I had no clue what The Elf on the Shelf was before I recently Googled it. Many people at work were talking about it, and I was curious. I was trying to come up with a Christmas pic idea for this year, and the first thing that came to mind was Nightcrawler (the fuzzy elf, termed coined by Wolverine) sitting on a shelf. LOL! So, this idea begins my silly Twelve Days of X-MAS. I hope my fellow MARVEL fans will find the humor in these pics. I know some people won't understand the concepts, but I hope many of you will enjoy them anyway. :D
Happy Holidays to all my flickr friends!
Goldie waves bye bye...she's running off to the circus to become a dolly cannon ball!
Dollicious dresses and hats.
I found the *perfect* ActionMan-sized elf-hats from a Christmas market in Helsinki! ^3^ (Well... actually they were made for Barbies but I think ActionMen look cuter wearing them.)
