For FGR "If I Had a Million Dollars" day and my increasingly fiesty 365 project.

This shot will only truly be appreciated by those that know and love the song like I do. :-)

From upper left, clockwise:

1. I'd buy you a house. (I would buy you a house)

2. Some furniture for your house (maybe a nice Chesterfield or an Ottoman)

3. A K-Car (a nice Reliant automobile)

4. We'd build a tree fort in our yard

5. We could put a little tiny fridge in there

6. I'd buy you a fur coat (but not a real fur coat, that's cruel)

7. I'd buy you an exotic pet (like a llama, or an emu)

8. I'd buy you John Merrick's remains (oh all those crazy elephant bones)

9. We wouldn't have to walk to the store

10. We'd take a limousine cause it costs more

11. We wouldn't have to eat Kraft Dinner (but we would eat Kraft Dinner, of course we would, we'd just eat more)

12. I would buy you a green dress (but not a real green dress that's cruel)

13. I would buy you some art (a picasso or a garfunkel)

14. I would buy you a monkey (haven't you always wanted a monkey)

This was actually pretty fun. :-)

Victor's Way Roundwood Co. Wicklow Ireland

I found this trio of sculpted elephants perched atop a random wall along the riverside walk in Greenwich. A quick search on Google reveals this is a street art installation by Elephantman.

Batman and Green Arrow could hear bickering as soon as the vigilantes entered the greenery.

"I'm amazed they've accomplished as much as they did..." Oliver quipped, trailing closely behind Bruce.

"Quiet." Bruce ordered

"Even if you were ElephantMan, I don't think they'd notice us..." Oliver drew an Arrow, "Here, allow me..."

Oliver pulled back his bow and released an arrow that struck the ground in front of the two bickering assailants. The tip of the arrow exploded like a small flash-bang grenade, silencing them both in a puff of smoke.

Merlyn immediately drew his own bow but was still blinded. Ivy shrieked as thick vines grew around her in defense.

"Alright kids, playtime's over!" Green Arrow taunted, stepping into the light.

Batman put a hand in his face and groaned. He stood from his hiding spot, meeting Oliver at his side. "Come clean and I promise your sentence may be shortened." His deep voice commanded.

Ivy's vines slowly receded, "Oooh look, Merlyn, it's The Batman in our own garden.... And he's brought along a handsome new friend...." she grinned, raising an eyebrow, "I like your colors Robin Hood...."

Green Arrow was taken back a little, "Yoouu're a special kind of crazy, aren't ya?"

Bruce cut in, "This isn't like you Pamela. Working with Malcolm is wrong and you know it. He doesn't care how you feel. Merlyn is not your friend."

"...Oh but Batman.... My only 'real' friend is mother nature. You of all people should know that...." she gazed across the piles of gold, "Besides, think of all the land this could buy... I could start anew.... just me and my babies....”

"Look lady, we don't want any trouble!" Oliver tightened the grip on his bow, "This whole 'borrowing shiny stuff that isn't yours' thing… well, that gets old real fast! See, my suggestion is t-"

"Enough!" Merlyn shouted, "You vigilantes are the least of my concerns! With the idol back in the possession of The League of Assassins, nothing will stop the tides from washing away the evil this world has rought!”

Oliver smirked, "Well in that case Malcolm, how about you and I go skinny dippin'?"

"Yes, lets!" Merlyn fired an arrow and the fight was on!

Batter My Heart

A poem by John Donne

Batter my heart, three person'd God; for, you

As yet but knock, breathe, shine, and seek to mend;

That I may rise, and stand, o'erthrow me, and bend

Your force, to break, blow, burn and make me new.

I, like an usurpt town, to another due,

Labour to admit you, but Oh, to no end,

Reason, your viceroy in me, me should defend,

But is captiv'd, and proves weak or untrue,

Yet dearely I love you, and would be lov'd faine,

But am betroth'd unto your enemy,

Divorce me, untie, or break that knot again,

Take me to you, imprison me, for I

Except you enthrall me, never shall be free,

Nor ever chast, except you ravish me.

This was clearly some sort of publicity photo for a circus sideshow.

Over the years I've purchased and collected old photos from second-hand shops and antique dealers. This is a shot from my collection. If you have any insights or observations, please comment.

Relaxing Day In The Park...

Mr. Plant susurra uno o dos párrafos al oído de Miss Barkin.

Ella no está quieta en absoluto.

Es domingo.

Una popular melodía de los 60's suena en la radio.

En el estudio todos están cansados. Muy cansados.

[Maybe it´s not a Krisis, but a Stimulants...]

While I'm not a huge fan (although I do enjoy his music), being a child of the eighties, I cant help at least noticing the phenomenon that was Michael Jackson.

I remember in the seventies how this child star from Motown wowed audiences across the world, and of course watched as this larger than life star released Thriller and exploded into pop culture, remembering how his music videos were huge prime time events that everyone would watch.

And of course the younger folks that came after Michael-mania subsided, they grew up watching the poor guy turn into an absolute freakshow of self mutilations, bizarre life style, and questionable behavior with children. They had missed the fact that beneath all that freakshow and elephant man skeletons and hyperbaric chambers nonsense - the man had some SERIOUS talent!

I always secretly hoped he would eventually get his head together and return to Earth. I always thought he'd eventually turn his life, his family, and his career around and explode once more on the on the music scene with another round of revolutionary music, instead of fading away as an object of ridicule and scorn.

Poor guy.

"Did you think it´s a Game? Did you think there are no Effekts & Konsequenzes?"

On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, a lemon shaped like Elephant Man.

Again many thanks to steve white2008 www.flickr.com/photos/25347284@N04/3270796716/ for the classic top photo....To the far left The Great Eastern Hotel but now called The Andaz, the original red bricked building building was opened in 1884...Centre the new ish entrance to the Station, the left hand tower

"The world population is the total number of humans on Earth at a given time. As of May 2008, the world's population is believed to be just over 6.6 billion. In line with population projections, this figure continues to grow at rates that were unprecedented before the 20th century, although the rate of increase has almost halved since its peak, which was reached in 1963, of 2.2 percent per year. The world's population, on its current growth trajectory, is expected to reach nearly 9 billion by the year 2050...." (read more on Wiki)

All the feature films from David Lynch. They're all great.. Even Dune.. In it's own "special" way.

Strobist info: This shot was taken with a long exposure (10 seconds), with Sigma EF-530 DG Super triggered twice on front left at 1/16th and twice on front right at 1/16th. The back row was lit using (with my little brother's assistance) Nikon D40X's built-in flash triggered three times from both left and right. Simple as that :D

Auto-portrait.

En créant ceci j'ai en tête le cri de " Elephant Man " de David Lynch lorsque assailli et acculé par la foule du fait de sa monstruosité il crie ces quelques mots :

" Je ne suis pas un animal ! "

22.07.2010

This piece (price £150 UK sterling) is from a small and playful body of paintings and drawings, based upon my sketchbook work.

The series was originally conceived as a limited run of mini artworks for the Rob Pruitt's Flea Market pop-up project which took place at the A Plus A Gallery during the opening week of the 2015 Venice Biennale.

However, because of the positive response to the work, and because they've been fun to work on, I've decided to continue the series for a little longer. I also like the fact that they offer a fun and affordable way of collecting small but original pieces from my body of work, without having to pay the £2000-£20000 price tag that my larger pieces fetch in the galleries.

The majority of the paintings and drawings in this series are executed on 20 x 15 cm blocks (some pieces vary in size so please feel free to email me for the exact dimensions) of 1.8 cm thick plywood, and designed to hang unframed, as wall plaques.

All pieces in this series are signed and dated. For further info email waynechisnall@yahoo.co.uk
