Was not going to do a photo this week as I couldn't think of anything to use. I normally do my photo on a Sunday night and post about 9 Came home from work and had an idea of using an old phone that I couldn't find and found the bulb in the drawer instead! Hence the title!! Happy macro Mondays
Another shot of The Absolute towers (aka The Marilyn Monroe Towers) in Mississauga.
This is a black and white, long exposure shot that was processed using Silver efex pro 2. If you've never used this plug-in, it's one of the best black and white plug-in out. It really does wonders punching up those blacks and tweaking high contrast areas.
Plus, now that the Nik suite is free, you have no excuse not to try it out.
Thank you for viewing my Photostream.

Project 366 2008 Jan 16 16/366
So, I had to buy a new motherboard for the Core 2 Duo processor that I was going to build a new computer with. The one I originally intended to use has died a premature death. This'll teach me to buy an electronic component and not use it for almost a year. The capacitors most likely dried out and after a few days the computer failed. This was before the holidays.
Well, the case for this computer is finally coming in after a number of upgrades in the family left me without an enclosure. So, now, hopefully by tomorrow I can finish this project.
So, what operating system am I planning to install? Some form of Linux. It's a toss up between Ubuntu 7.10 or openSUSE 10.3. I'm going to compare a number of virtualization technologies to run Windows with. Xen, Virtualbox, VMware. I'm going to see which one provides the best performance.

This was my dad's camera back in the day which was used for lots of family photos. It's been passed on to me and eventually I'd like to get it back in working order and see what it can do. Shot inspired by my good friend www.flickr.com/photos/ndm77 and this www.flickr.com/photos/ndm77/391119000/?
With a custom paint job! This CFL Holga started out as a Criagslist buy a couple years ago. It was a horrendous reddish/orange color - didn't matter; I still loved it for what it could do. Then the shutter spring started to get weak and wasn't strong enough to always return the shutter to its starting position. I could bang it on my hand to reset it, but eventually made the lens go off it's track and it was stuck... So I got another CL Holga and put this one on the display shelf. Well I resurrected it! I fixed the triangle light leaks, fixed the stuck lens, put a pinhole on the defunct aperture switch and painted her purple! I have a full walk through on my Flickr showing the steps I took: www.flickr.com/photos/susan-lawson/sets/72157625987032768... I can't wait to throw a roll through her now! The only thing I still have to do is fix the shutter spring...
It's not new! I bought it last year on 11th July. As the picture isn't new either.
It just I want to upload something before traveling to Omrah on Friday to Friday.
