...on a circuit board.
For Macro Mondays: "Small and Smaller" theme, it's a demonstration board from Universal Instruments Corp. that I've had for many years. The company builds automated machines for placing and attaching components--both small and smaller--to circuit boards.
The image measures just 1 5/8-inch on the long side.

These power transistors (semiconductors) are used in high-frequency technology for short-wave transmitters. Labeled with its type (BLX15), current gain (E) and the country of manufacture (Netherlands).
Same serial number (paired) or matched pair.

Many thanks for your views, favs and comments.
Truly appreciated
This theme was practically challenges. I wanted to use a circuit board but it was very 2 dimensional and I could get something that I felt was interesting enough. Eventually, I decided to buy some inductors (although, originally I thought they were resistors).

A GEC Osglim Beehive Neon Lamp, dating from the 1930s. This 5-watt low energy bulb has passed through three generations of our family. Still working, although not used today, its orange-red glow illuminated (almost!) the steps down to the cellar in our family home.
The ARDUINO infinity symbol is not one that brings a smile to my face, but for my micro-engineer husband it certainly does! Happy Smile On Saturday everyone!
