A black and white photograph of the rig i use to record demo's..

.

Thank you for your kind comments.

I was asked by my daughter to photo shoot her electric guitar. I happily obliged.

You wouldn't believe how hard it was to come up with something new that still looked great. I swear, shooting her older brother's guitar was easier.

In the end, I was very pleased. It only left taking hours to process all the dust out. I should have done a better job with the dust rag beforehand!!! I debated just dusting it off and doing a re-shoot, but those blossoms were the last two in the garden...

I posted a colour image of my electric guitar about a week ago. I took a lot of shots, and liked this one too....thought black and white worked well with it.

Happy Monday!

Dusted off the old electric guitar I used to play for some photography. I posted a very similar shot a year ago, but it was with a different lens and an acoustic guitar, not electric.

Taken with Pentacon AV 80mm vintage lens.

Macro Monday - In A Row

My Epiphone Dot guitar. Drums are my main thing but I have two nice electrics and a Keyboard.

I had the middle coils of a sketch pad but this morning came up with this.

Honest to God, it took 22 shots to get that first E string into focus.

I was getting frustrated.

Happy Macro Monday

A few months ago while playing along to my favorite tunes, Karen grabbed the camera and turned paparazzi on me.

She did quite a good job don't you think?.

Electric Guitar detail

youtu.be/NCtzkaL2t_Y - Enjoying listening to The Beatles this morning and am so looking forward to seeing the movie.

Music has power over me. I can become completely absorbed - physically and emotionally connected to what I am listening to. Music can take me back in time and help me reconnect to the past. It can make me long for more. Whenever I work out the right music can make it feel totally effortless and full of joy but the wrong song can make it dreadful. When I'm angry I need loud hard rock screamo songs to process my feelings. When I need to concentrate I like soft classical music. When I want to enjoy myself I play songs I can sing along with.

I have no particular talent for playing an instrument or singing but I am so good at listening and enjoying and cheering. Music is life enriching and I cannot image a day without it.
