They are the perfect tool for photographers, you can ride anywhere, your camera fits in the bag. They are fun!
Don’t you think these colorful tulips are a great addition to the basket on this $1,500 electric bicycle? The good folks of Pella, Iowa certainly know how to take their annual tulip celebration seriously.

I don't know if this is an electric bike or not, but this fellow was peddling while zipping along at a brisk pace on a park trail when this panning shot was taken.
Our Daily Challenge: "A Touch Of Red" (Look closely and you'll see it. 😊)
We took the bikes out for our first ride on a gravel trail and they handled it quite well! The trail we rode on was the Lake to Lake trail in the Kettle Moraine Forest. It was a beautiful day with a lot of wildflowers along the way. There were also a bunch of biting flies which we were able to get away from very quickly, thanks to the bikes!

We’re enjoying our new bikes tremendously and have put quite a few miles on already. We also found bags that fit them, including panniers large enough for Mike to fit all of his work gear.
The marsh we stopped by to take this photo was on the Interurban bike trail. Three blue herons were quite vocal & were circling the area. Love their croaky calls!
We biked 8.5 miles on Bearskin Trail before turning around and stopped at this picnic area before turning back. It was right off the trail and was very peaceful!
There were a lot of wildflowers along the woodsy Mountain Bay trail. We enjoyed seeing them tremendously!
Most of the Mascoutin Valley trail was lined with trees, creating a cozy tree lined tunnel. We crossed several bridges, as well.
This is just an old phone camera shot of my original e-bike which is now semi retired. It got extensive use when I lived in western Victoria and it got me to many wonderful places in and around the Grampians area. This shot was taken on a ride out to Lake Lonsdale which was no more than 15km from home. I used to try hard to ride one way without assistance, then I had the backup of the electric motor to help get me home. This is taken from a small breakwater near one of the boat-ramps on Lake Lonsdale and shows part of the Grampians ranges in the background.
The main reason I have uploaded this is because I was seeing what images were on my old 3G flip phone, and the 3G network is supposed to shut down from today, and it means I will soon have to get with the times. I have stubbornly stuck with my dear old flip phone and its wonderful push buttons because I struggle with touchscreens due to some complications of my MS, the main one being my fingertips are numb and don't get on all that well with touchscreens! There are newer flip phones on 4G thankfully so I will remain in my push button world for a while, but I always did like this phone and its modest 2mp camera.
For the moment, I still have a 3G signal showing on the phone! Not sure how long that will last.
This young man road by me doing a wheelie. I asked him to do it again so I could take his picture. He gladly turned around, and this is what I got. He made it look easy. This was at Veterans Oasis Park in Chandler, Arizona, USA.
I got this topcap from Rayco Mercantile and love seeing it on my rides!

We decided to take the plunge and get electric bikes. They’re the Giant Explore model and we love them! They’re class 3, meaning they assist up to 28 mph and only when we pedal. I was pretty hesitant to get them at first but am very glad we did. The chronic illness I have means I get sick if I exert myself too much, which I’ve been doing on our bike rides this year. Having an electric bike will allow me to enjoy biking while still getting exercise (and not worrying about how I’ll feel for a week after the ride).
As for Mike, he uses his bike for work pretty often and this will make his commute much nicer!
The colors in the Kettle Moraine Forest seem a bit behind this year, but there were still patches of color that were quite pretty!
We took a short break before having to out pedal the biting insects. Very glad to have electric bikes for that reason alone!
After we were done with biking, we had lunch at the vegan restaurant in town, Wicked Willow. We’ve been there several times now and haven’t had a bad experience yet!
While it’s not my favorite name, it’s definitely our favorite trail that we’ve biked on so far. Very scenic and we were surprised that no biting insects bothered us.
One of our least favorite trails we’ve been on so far. It’s only 7 miles, so we did the entire thing, and other than this bridge it was soggy grass the entire way. We were very thankful to have electric bikes! Still glad we did it, though, because it’s fun to explore new things.
After checking out the street art in Fond du Lac, we biked on this trail for 20 miles and then went to a park to eat the lunch we brought.
We put finishing touches of mirrors on both of our bikes, plus I adorned mine with an “explore” sticker. I thought it was quite fitting since our bike model is the Explore.
The Mascoutin Valley trail consisted of mostly shaded woodsy areas with one very long stretch of marsh between. We saw several snakes on one of the bridges and stopped to enjoy the solitude. Other than a few people walking & running on the trail, we had it to ourselves.
Man riding an e-bike in Shinjuku, Tokyo. He was travelling at just the right speed for a panning shot.
We really loved this trail and ended up biking all 11.4 miles of it. There are several areas with art along it, lots of benches, and great views!

Mariners Trail along Lake Michigan. It connects Two Rivers & Manitowoc with several sculptures, gardens, and great views!
