Went on a photo shoot with friends the other night... just as we were about to leave for home the Northern lights showed up :o)
The nature is an artist!!!! (taken in Trebic, The Czech Republic)
See my other pictures of the electric storm!
P.S. The only post-processed properties were levels, plus it was cropped from the original image. Simply the photos looked stunning straight from camera :-)

Every time I hear something special
Its replacement is something I fear
It's only a working in progress
Only a stopgap idea
The tools that we used to create them
They're no longer welcome 'round here
Everyone's re-routing their cables
Creating paths that are crystal clear
While I like the sound of you dreaming
I like how it sounds in my ear
And I like the sound of adventure
The wind chimes in the air
In this world you've created
There are sounds I'll always hold dear
I'd like things to be permanent
But that's not always possible, I fear

You will find these electric fences in many tea and coffee plantations in India. Most of these are to keep the elephants away from the plantations.
We all know that elephants are intelligent creatures. The elephants in India somehow figure out a way to break these fences, some say that the elephants use tree trunks to break them. How do elephants know about conductivity, I wonder...lol
Gorgeous butterfly. Wonderful and very different coloration. Found in a local Zoo but cant be found locally outside

……HFF & don’t lean on this fence is the best advice! A bit (lot) grainy - hadn’t noticed the old XE1 was on ISO 1600 when I took it out for a long overdue outing!…….. Stay locked down and cosy to stay safe and to keep EVERYONE else safe too! A VERY BIG THANK YOU to ALL the key workers who are carrying on to benefit the rest of us - we applaud you all. Alan;-)👏👏👏👏👏

There is a discreet poetry within transient places.
A gas station illuminated in the middle of the night.
Beneath the glow of neon signs, the city breathes in silence and motion at the same time. People cross paths, lights reflect on the asphalt, and towering buildings stand as witnesses to countless untold stories. A cinematic glimpse into Tokyo’s electric soul, where every step feels part of a larger rhythm.
Best night of the year! The final minutes of July brought the perfect storm in the lightning photography capital of the world. This is a look over Tucson, Arizona, around 10:45pm on July 31st. The rain appears as hazy streaks in the middle of the photograph. The lightning was striking mostly in the dry air on the sides of the storm. As a result, you could see every fine detail of the branches. All of the lightning on the right occurred in just 92 seconds! The lightning strike on the left occurred 3 minutes later. Each lightning flash had one ground contact point, except for one. That lightning flash had an incredible 4 points where it hit the ground, and that is relatively rare. So in this photograph, you can see 5 lightning flashes with a total of 8 points where the electricity struck the ground. Do you see all of the ground contact points?
