Every time I hear something special
Its replacement is something I fear
It's only a working in progress
Only a stopgap idea
The tools that we used to create them
They're no longer welcome 'round here
Everyone's re-routing their cables
Creating paths that are crystal clear
While I like the sound of you dreaming
I like how it sounds in my ear
And I like the sound of adventure
The wind chimes in the air
In this world you've created
There are sounds I'll always hold dear
I'd like things to be permanent
But that's not always possible, I fear

You will find these electric fences in many tea and coffee plantations in India. Most of these are to keep the elephants away from the plantations.
We all know that elephants are intelligent creatures. The elephants in India somehow figure out a way to break these fences, some say that the elephants use tree trunks to break them. How do elephants know about conductivity, I wonder...lol
Gorgeous butterfly. Wonderful and very different coloration. Found in a local Zoo but cant be found locally outside

Best night of the year! The final minutes of July brought the perfect storm in the lightning photography capital of the world. This is a look over Tucson, Arizona, around 10:45pm on July 31st. The rain appears as hazy streaks in the middle of the photograph. The lightning was striking mostly in the dry air on the sides of the storm. As a result, you could see every fine detail of the branches. All of the lightning on the right occurred in just 92 seconds! The lightning strike on the left occurred 3 minutes later. Each lightning flash had one ground contact point, except for one. That lightning flash had an incredible 4 points where it hit the ground, and that is relatively rare. So in this photograph, you can see 5 lightning flashes with a total of 8 points where the electricity struck the ground. Do you see all of the ground contact points?

Photographed at the Railway Museum in Utrecht, this electric locomotive bell showcases the functional elegance of early industrial signalling. Unlike the traditional steam‑driven bells, this type uses an electromagnet and mechanical striker, a system widely adopted in rail environments from the late 1800s onward. In black and white, the polished metal surfaces and the precise engineering of the mechanism stand out, highlighting both its utility and its craftsmanship.
Electric Blue - It was a treat to observe 5-6 of these Lazuli Buntings recently. One of my favorite subjects when I was in high school (7-10 years ago), but I never really got a good image. Not a huge fan of the particular perch in this image, but really liked the pose - and my sharpest image of these species yet.
Species: Lazuli Bunting (Passerina amoena)
Location: Northern California, CA, USA
Equipment: Canon EOS R5 + EF 100-400mm IS II + EF 1.4x III Extender
Settings: 1/200s, ISO: 500, f/8 @896mm (APS-C Mode), Electronic Shutter, Handheld
