I just returned from a 12 day trip to Fance where I spent a week in the Burgendy region followed by 4 days in Paris! It was an extraordinary and surreal experience as I went with 12 photographers! Thank you to my flickr friend Yannick for telling me about this location! Once up there we were greeted by a flash rain storm. This proved to be a good omen as all the tourists with iphones and selfie sticks ran for the door...lol. This allowed us to wait under cover and after the ran finally get some shots without our tripod de-stabilizing from the the mass of tourists. I can't say enough about the Burgendy region of France as well as my first experience in Paris. More images to come!!

The Eiffel Tower (French: La tour Eiffel) is an iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris. It was named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower.
Erected in 1889 as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair, it was initially criticised by some of France's leading artists and intellectuals for its design, but has become both a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The tower is the tallest structure in Paris and the most-visited paid monument in the world; 6.98 million people ascended it in 2011. The tower received its 250 millionth visitor in 2010.

Truong Tien Bridge is 403 meters long with 6 arches of comb-shaped steel girders, each arch 67 metres in length. The width of the bridge is 6 meters. The bridge spans over the Perfume River. The bridge was originally built by Eiffell, the French engineering company in 1897. However, due to damage, the bridge has since been repaired and renovated several times to this present structure. In 2002, colourful changing lights were permanently installed into the bridge to dramatic effect.
