Two days ago in the volcanic Eifel in a beech forest. The first snow for this winter combined with a mix of fog and sun was a delight for the senses.
Vor zwei Tagen in der Vulkaneifel in einem Buchenwald. Der erste Schnee für diesen Winter kombiniert mit einem Mix aus Nebel und Sonne war ein Genuss für die Sinne.

Jedes Jahr in Frühling und Herbst fliegen tausende Kraniche über Hilberath auf ihrer Reise nach Norden bzw. Süden.

Summer is just around the corner and the first poppy and cornflower fields are blooming, this year a little earlier than usual.
Often I think of Tuscany, when I stand above the Wittlich valley in the morning and the early light and fine mist enchant the landscape.
A picture of this week shortly after sunrise (August 30, 2017, 6:57 am).
Oft denke ich an die Toskana, wenn ich morgens oberhalb der Wittlicher Senke stehe und das frühe Licht und feiner Nebel die Landschaft verzaubern.

Almost 2 weeks ago after fog dissipation in the Volcanic Eifel.
Vor knapp 2 Wochen nach Nebelauflösung in der Vulkaneifel.
2 days ago on the way in the volcanic Eifel in search of the light.
Vor 2 Tagen unterwegs in der Vulkaneifel auf der Suche nach dem Licht fündig geworden.

Last week in Bitburg County.
The owner of these fields is away from intensive agriculture and wants to do something for nature in his homeland, I think with success.
Letzte Woche im Bitburger Land.
Der Besitzer dieser Felder ist weg von intensiver Landwirtschaft und möchte etwas für die Natur in seiner Heimat tun, ich finde mit Erfolg.
There has not been as many foggy moods as lately ... could provide you with new pictures every day for months ;-)
So viele Nebelstimmungen wie in der letzten Zeit hat es bereits lange nicht mehr gegeben...könnte euch über Monate täglich mit neuen Bildern versorgen;-)
The Eifel is a low mountain range in western Germany and eastern Belgium. It occupies parts of southwestern North Rhine-Westphalia, northwestern Rhineland-Palatinate and the southern area of the German-speaking Community of Belgium.
The Eifel is part of the Rhenish Massif; within its northern portions lies the Eifel National Park.
A day with low but beautiful light and in my opinion a very successful photo session in the Eifel forests. In the near future I will present more pictures from this day and I hope you will like these photographs

At the beginning of last week this Phacelia field shone towards me from a great distance on the drive by and "screamed" for a photo, here it is ;-)
Anfang letzter Woche leuchtete mir dieses Phacelia-Feld aus großer Entfernung auf der Vorbeifahrt entgegen und "schrie" nach einem Foto, hier ist es;-)

Yesterday at noon near the Nürburgring in the High Eifel. Today it is snowing for the first time this winter, even in lower areas.
I just had to stop at this tree, they have become rare in the landscape in the meantime.
Gestern Mittag in der Nähe des Nürburgring in der Hocheifel. Heute schneit es bei uns zum ersten Mal für diesen Winter auch in tieferen Lagen.
Bei diesem Baum mußte ich einfach anhalten, sie sind inzwischen bei uns in der Landschaft selten geworden.
