Built in 1954, 505 EHX was the third of 73 right-hand drive Jaguar XK140 open two-seaters. This Jaguar Roadster has just emerged from a painstaking restoration and is beautifully presented in its original colour combination of Birch Grey with red interior at the Classic Motor Hub.
Inherited with the takeover of Cook's Coaches of Wellington, Optare Solo 47600 is now allocated to Exeter Depot, for operation on the Exeter City network.

Go-Coach have two Optare Tempos following the sale of 7801 in July, and whilst sister 7802 has spent much of August in Derbyshire, 7803 has spent most of August in service operating on route C3. The three Tempo's have only really ever been employed on school workings so one out during the day on a "normal" route is relatively rare!

In September 2019 Go-Coach purchased three ex-London United Optare Tempos these being, YJ11 EHN, YJ11 EHR and YJ11 EHX and were numbered 7801, 7802 and 7803 in the fleet. They are almost exclusively used on high capacity school routes which can only accomodate single deck vehicles.
A unique opportunity presented us on Saturday 19th September 2020 when all three Optare Tempo's were at Otford so a lineup was arranged this being the first time since they were repainted that all three have been together! So from the left we have 7801 YJ11 EHN, 7802 YJ11 EHR and 7803 YJ11 EHX at Otford Vestry Road.

Go-Coach 7803 YJ11 EHX is seen storming up the A21 having just passed under Morleys Roundabout near Riverhill whilst working school route TW3 from Bennett Memorial School in Tunbridge Wells to Shoreham Station. Tuesday 17th May 2022.
Out of the three Optare Tempo's with Go-Coach, this particular example has been rather elusive of late suffering from an array of gearbox problems.

Having been out of service and stored in the yard at Otford since May 2022, Go-Coach 7803 YJ11 EHX was reactivated and brought to Swanley on Tuesday 25th October 2022 for repair and return to service. Its seen here looking a little weather beaten inside the workshop at Swanley undergoing attention to its gearbox, it returned to service on Thursday 17th November. Tuesday 25th October 2022.

As [https://www.flickr.com/photos/34679063@N04] pointed out to me, Brylaine are swapping the original Tempo headlights for improved units. YJ57 EHX is another vehicle that has been in for conversion and its new lights can be seen in this view as it leaves Lincoln bus station. Oddly, its number plate has been repositioned up slightly since it was painted and a strip of minty Norfolk Green has been left below it.
