I know this is not the ideal name for such a prestige canine, but I think it’s suiting, not only because his head is egg shaped but eggs Benedict is so yummy. And sheesh, now I want some eggs. 🍳
...is what the chefs call their version of Egg Benedict at Metropol in Helsingborg.
Their breakfast buffet is outstanding, but you can also order from their A la carte menu, items like this for example.
Totally outstanding version.
Best hotel breakfast in Sweden, probably.
Sous Vide Salmon, Egg, Spring Mix, Hollandaise sauce, Blue Cheese Wasabi Cream, J's Osaka 2 pcs (Salmon)
I understand that the secret is to crack each egg into its separate oiled 'nest' of clingfilm, tie up the top, and cook for four and a half minutes in simmering water.
My Hash Benedict from the Manchester Diner. Not the most photogenic benedict I've had, but it was quite tasty. The eggs weren't poached, but were perfectly fried. The potatoes and hash were perfectly crisped. The hollandaise sauce nicely textured and tangy.
All-in-all, 8 out of 10 on my benedict scale.
Eggs Benedict with lump backfin crabmeat added to the Hollandaise sauce. Served at Larry's II in Vineland, NJ. The potatoes are really good, too.

Very good!
An Eggs Benedict breakfast today at the beautiful cafe Unknown Chapter in Christchurch New Zealand. An excellent way to start the day and now I will have to do more walking to work off the food. The Mushrooms were huge and beautiful. With my lovely Bro and Sister-in-law. For Through the Lens Week 11 theme of Food.
After a night on the town there's nothing like a breakfast of eggs and bacon to set you up for the day.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S Day, everyone!
Sunday, 14 February 2021: our temperature is -22C (windchill -34C) shortly after 1:00 pm. Sunrise is at 7:51 am, and sunset is at 5:50 pm. Bright and sunny. Just one more day before the weather warms up, as Tuesday is forecast to be -7C. Meanwhile, the Extreme Cold Warning is still in effect today.
The other day, I did something that I haven't done in at least 20 years - I actually ordered food delivery (for yesterday)! The last time I went for a drive was on 1 February and the last (short) walk I went on was on 2 February. The only other time I have left the house in the last 2 weeks was on 5 February, to get an oil change and wheel alignment done, so that I could get rid of the orange maintenance light on the dashboard. We are still under an Extreme Cold Warning and it has been far too cold to be out anywhere, with windchill temperatures down as low as -42C (or even colder). It looks like two more days, and we will have much milder temperatures.
So, to treat myself, I decided to order meal delivery for the very first time, from the Bow Valley Ranche, in Fish Creek Park. I can't remember ever going there for a meal, unless it was dozens of years ago. Normally, I never arrange for delivery, from anywhere, but drive and collect take-out, so this was pure luxury. So much food, too.
The Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant has a high reputation and earns various awards. I will add a previously posted photo from 2013 of the outside of the Ranche, in a comment box below. It is a beautiful, old building with a long history.
forgot to upload this back in January - birthday eggs benedict made by the fair hands of my beau. It was delectable.
poached eggs, parmesan leek fondue, homefries with peameal bacon
-- this is probably one of the worst ones I had!

Had a great breakfast Saturday at Le Petit Déjeuner in Toronto. After waiting outside in the cold, we came in and had some fantastic waffles, Eggs Benedict and coffee. We then waddled out to meet the day.
Asparagus, poached eggs, bearnaise sauce, English muffins, home style potatoes, peameal bacon, fresh fruits
It was really good!

Taken at Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm, Tasmania, today....
My friend had this yummy treat, and I had sweets. It seemed as if we were having a good all-round balanced meal between the two of us!! ;-)
