This modern cable stayed pedestrian bridge was built in 2008 by Arne Eggen Architects and connects the two parts of the city of Drammen over the Drammenselva (Drammen river)

Early morning sunlight on the Sunnegga Five Lakes Trail. Right from the start it is easy to experience a raw barren environment.
I took sometimes pictures of rural and agricultural motives also earlier, but while I took these two pictures (this one and the previous uploaded) in 2013 I came up with the idea for the title for the series.

I visited the Zermatt area right at the end of the summer season when it transitions into autumn-winter (depending on how high you go). This is a view over the Zermatt valley from Sunnegga, a mere 100 meters from where the cable car drops you off. In the distance are the Wisshorn, Platthorn and Mettelhorn (I think).

Swedish banker Jacob Wallenberg´s 10 mR boat Refanut (his third Refanut) photographed (prob) in the 1930s. My restoration and colorization Gustav Grahm´s image in the Swedish Maritime Museum archive.
Refanut was designed by Charles E. Nicholson and built in 1927 by Stockholms Båtbyggeri, Neglingevarvet. The 17.13 m (loa) boat was the most successful 10 m yacht in the Baltic area from 1928 to 1939.
Jacob Wallenberg owned Refanut 10 S2 until 1952, when he switched to the fourth (current) Refanut, a Sparkman & Stephens designm, Jacob Wallenbergs nephew Henry took over the Nicholson designed Refanut and renamed her Rendez-Vous. He owned her until 1968, when she was sold to England and renamed Ghoster. In 1976 the Danish couple, Bent and Ulla-Britt Lyman, bought Ghoster and sailed with her for over 36 years. (They have a very interesting web page, where you can read more about their extensive voyages: www.bentlyman.dk/3-ghoster.html )In 2013 the Lymans sold Ghoster to Norwegian Georg Foerster. According to information provided by Espen Eggen, Ghoster now has her second Norwegian owner and is based in Hankø.

The Ypsilon Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over Drammenselva in Drammen, Norway.
The pedestrian bridge connects Kunnskapsparken, the science park of Grønland in Drammen with the city park on Bragernes. The bridge was designed by the firm of Arne Eggen Architects. The three-way bridge has been given the name "Ypsilon" due to its special form – from the air it looks like a Y, with one abutment on the Strømsø side and two at the Bragernes side. The project was co-funded by the municipality of Drammen and Kunnskapsparken AS. Kunnskapsparken accommodates the libraries of the Buskerud University College, the public library of Drammen, and the Buskerud Regional Library.

On the Sunnegga Five Lakes Trail. As it was post-summer and right into autumn, the grass was all dead, giving it a desolate and barren look. The mountains were growing their snowlines in preparation for ski season.
Uppsala City Hall was first built 1957. However, it was only partially built according to the original drawings. This year the shape of the building was completed by Henning Larsen Architects. LEGO model has about 9300 bricks and is about 50x50 cm. If you want, you can visit Uppsala City Hall to see this model built ”non-digital” by Daniel Eggens.
