This shack was also on the property we stayed at last week, just down the hill from the barn.
There must be a problem with one of the septums in this Grafmatic; I get this kind of light leak on one shot every time I use it.
More from our recent day at Steel Stacks in Bethlehem, PA. This was shot on Efke PL-100 with a yellow filter, so no infrared Wood effect here.

Here's a closer view of the chapel. It's a pity there wasn't much light inside. I wasn't able to get any good shots of the inside, which has been vandalized with assorted graffiti ("Hail Satan!", "666" "Hate God", "God is Dead").

This abandoned chapel was just down the street from where we stayed. It is surrounded by woods and was in the shade when I first saw it. But around 5pm, the sun illuminates it brightly.
4x5 film. The photography went well, but the development was a comedy of errors!
I forgot to account for reciprocity effect for the 15 second exposure and thought I underexposed by 3 stops. When developing, I couldn't find two bottles of working solutions in the dark. Then my phone-based timer failed (first try... argh!) so I counted/estimated in my head. Then I realised I had no squeegy to clear the water from the negative. I improvised with a piece of windshield wiper from my car (sacrifices in the name of art)....
After all that, I have a photo which is almost precisely the way I wanted it to look straight out of the camera.
The photo is a poorly-assembled still life of some ingredients for a mirepoix (vegetable stock base) used in many French recipes. I add garlic because I love it. That is also my favourite knife, set up on a cutting board on a table outside (to take advantage of the diffused overcast light).

Taken with a Korona 8x20 view camera (I think the lens used was a 300mm Goerz Dagor.) on Efke PL100 film, tray developed in Pyrocat HD. Printed on grade 3 Azo and scanned on an Epson V750 in two sections and assembled in Photoshop.

An old railroad bridge downstream from the dam on Lake George at Hobart, IN.
Photographed on Efke 100 plate film. The film was pre-exposed 3 stops down from the actual exposure setting. I metered for proper exposure with a Sekonic 758DR spot meter, then metered through an Expodisk diffuser. I took the latter meter reading adjusted down 3 stops then pre-exposed the film through the expodisk. I then photographed the scene. Compared with the straight shot, pre-exopsure eliminated some obnoxious bright highlights as well as bring out shadow detail. I used a 180 mm lens on a Horseman VH-R field camera along with a Wratten 15 deep yellow filter.

This is photographed on Efke PL100 film. I spot metered on the front pediment and pre-exposed through a diffuser 2 stops down then did the final exposure at 0.5 EV over the indicated exposure for a time of 30 s at f/8. To determine the pre-exposure settings, I spot metered through the diffuser which was subsequently placed in front of the lens for the pre-exposure. The pre exposure has brought out more shadow detail in the brick work compared to an equivalent shot without pre-exposure. Indeed, some grout lines are visible here which are not visible in the non pre-exposed shot.

Railroad trestle at Hamilton Michigan just above the dam ruin on the Rabit River. The state wants to remove the dam which creates the impoundment upon which the bridge is reflecting.
Photographed on Efke 25 plate film using a Horseman VH-R field camera and a 90mm lens. It was about 5:00 pm on a blue sky afternoon and the sun was essentially to the camera's right. I used both an orange and red filter for this shot and decided on the red Wratten 25. The scene was on the edge of where I would normally use this filter. However, the orange just did not bring out the contrast of trestle vs the background. I metered using the Sekonic L-758DR through the filter stack on the blue sky as medium grey and set the lens accordingly as is my standard practice for this film. Exposure was 1 s.
