Mittlerweile wurden auch einige Gelenkbusse des Betriebshofes Wolfenbüttel in das neue stadtbus-Design überführt. Dass die 18 Meter Busse eher kaum auf den eigentlichen stadtbus-Linien zum Einsatz kommen, interessierte die Stadtverwaltung wohl eher weniger. Hier ist gerade der ehemalige Vorführwagen 1911 auf einer Schultour der 602 unterwegs, die Salzgitter-Thiede mit -Beddingen verbindet. Dabei wird auch die umständlich zu erreichende Schleuse in Üfingen mit einer Stichfahrt bedient.

Auto AG Rothenburg (AAGR): the articulated bus number 17 (MAN Lion's City EfficientHybrid, license plate LU-15751) departs from the bus terminal located at Luzern Central Station, working a service in the regional line 50 to Menziken, Bahnhof.
Auto AG Schwyz (AAGS): the bus number 99 (MAN Lion's City EfficientHybrid, license plate SZ-108099) turning around to leave the bus terminal located at the Arth-Goldau railway station, working a service in the regional line 502 from Küssnacht, Bahnhof to Arth, Klostermatt.
San Sebastián, Spain 🇪🇸 : A MAN Lion’s City 12C Efficient Hybrid is seen in front of the Kursaal, the city’s congress centre.
Public transport in the small city of Nyon is operated by TPN, with a 5-line urban network complemented by half a dozen of regional lines to La Rippe, Coppet, Crassier and so on. A fleet of 35 buses, of which 3 are articulated, operate on these lines.
During Switzerland’s largest yearly musical event, Paléo Festival (held just north of Nyon), public transport services are considerably strengthened to handle the never-ending flow of festival goers. As the railway from Nyon to L’Asse station (the festival location)’s capacity is rather limited, all 3 articulated buses were assigned to extra services to L’Asse, in addition to 4 other special lines which were operated by CarPostal.
On its third day of service, TPN’s unique articulated MAN is seen on the aforementioned extra service, driving at full capacity towards the Paléo area. With all the shuttle lines combined, one could see buses roughly every 4 minutes towards the festival.

Mit einer Länge von über 18 Metern und einer Höhe von 3,32 Metern ist der Elektro-Gelenkbus des Herstellers MAN eine beeindruckende Erscheinung auf der Straße. Zwei elektrische Zentralmotoren sorgen für Schub auf zwei angetriebenen Achsen. Acht Batteriepakete sind auf dem Dach verbaut und bieten eine Kapazität von 640 Kilowattstunden. Die Fahrzeuge können mit bis zu 150 Kilowatt geladen werden. Bei günstigen Witterungsbedingungen und noch neuen Batterien kann der Elektro-Gelenkbus damit bis zu 240 Kilometer weit fahren.
Busse mit über 20 m Länge erwiesen sich als untauglich für die Strecke zum Busbahnhof.
Tübingen setzt auf MAN Lion‘s City Gelenkbusse mit EfficientHybrid
Auf knapp 18,75 Meter bieten die Gelenkbusse Raum für insgesamt 151 Passagiere.
Da die MAN Lion´s City über eine Überland-Bestuhlung verfügen, dürfen sich Fahrgäste über besonders komfortables Sitzen freuen. Die insgesamt vier Innenschwenktüren sorgen für einen schnellen Fahrgastfluss. Für eine besonders helle und moderne Atmosphäre sorgen transluszente Faltenbälge, durchsichtige Dachlucken sowie ein Bodenbelag in hellgrauer Holzoptik. Angetrieben werden die sieben MAN Lion´s City 19 von einem 6-Zylinder-Reihen-Motor mit 360 PS (265 kW), der den Abgasstandard Euro 6d erfüllt.

Durchschnittlich mehr als 50.000 Fahrgäste transportiert die rot-gelbe Flotte des TüBus täglich. Das sind über 200 Stadtbus-Fahrten pro Jahr für jeden Bürger Tübingens.
Mehr als die Hälfte der Fahrleistungen wird von der TüBus GmbH, einer Tochtergesellschaft der Stadtwerke Tübingen erbracht. Die übrigen Fahrten werden von den Firmen Omnibusverkehr Tübingen – Jakob Kocher GmbH mit Sitz in Tübingen und deren Reutlinger Tochtergesellschaft Wilhelm Lutz Omnibusverkehr GmbH sowie der ebenfalls in Tübingen ansässigen Schnaith KM-Reisen Paul Schnaith & Cie GmbH durchgeführt, die hierfür Busse in den Farben des Stadtverkehrs Tübingen vorhalten.
Vor der Gründung der TüBus GmbH am 1. Januar 2011 erbrachten diese Unternehmen die gesamten Fahrleistungen des Stadtverkehrs
