I've just managed to compile and run SuperCollider on my new Asus Eee PC (tiny little linux PC). It took a lot less hacking than I expected! :)

With a can of tango for scale.

The successor model has another label ("Asus" vs "Eee") that surely looks more professional. The white one has a reflecting white surface while the black one has a pattern (just a matter of taste).

I've decided I'm going to start taking at least one picture every day. But I haven't quite decided whether to do the 365 thing yet, we will see.

The utilitarian clubhouse at Oxford Road, home to Gomersal Cricket Club. Captured before an ECB Bradford Premier League Championship Two game with Pudsey Congs. Stands of 67 for the fourth wicket (Barney Gibson and Arbaab Hussain) and 105 for the sixth (Jonathon Donnelly and Al-Mustafa Rafique) enabled Congs to recover from 77-3 and post a competitive score. Replying, Gomersal were in trouble at 41-2 but added 105 for the third wicket (Michael Hutchins and Richard Wear). Aggressive Jack Seddon hit 63 off 29 balls (including five sixes) to help the hosts fight back from 181-5. Gomersal needed 18 off the last two overs but, with Seddon removed, simply ran out of big hitters, falling 10 runs short. Victory enabled Congs to leapfrog Gomersal into fourth place.

Gomersal Cricket Club were founded in 1892, as Gomersal St Mary's Cricket Club. An earlier club called Gomersal St Mary's, established by the local vicar, had lasted six years from 1881. From the start, Gomersal have played at a ground on the site of the former Little Gomersal Colliery. Gomersal spent their early years in the Bradford District League, the Spen Valley District League and the Yorkshire Council. Over many years, they raised enough money to buy their ground, with the purchase finally completed in 1929, two years after 'St Mary's' was dropped from the club's name. Gomersal's first trophy came in 1922 when they topped the Yorkshire Council. The club joined the Central Yorkshire League in 1944. During the early 1970s, Gomersal sold a football pitch, next to the cricket square, to a housing developer. The proceeds paid for construction of the present clubhouse and players' pavilion. Gomersal won promotion to the Central Yorkshire League's top flight in 1981. They dominated the league during the nineties, winning seven trophies and twice lifting the Heavy Woollen Cup. In 1993, Gomersal secured the coveted treble of championship, Jack Hampshire Cup and Heavy Woollen Cup. The club stepped up to the Bradford League in 2000, a season that coincided with a £100,000 refurbishment of their clubhouse. Gomersal topped the Second Division in their debut season before a series of relegations and promotions ensued. In 2014, Gomersal secured ECB Clubmark accreditation.
