Thank you my friends for your inspiration !

My admiration for Edvard Munch (12 December 1863 / died 23January ,1944.)

Inspired by and created with art as seen in the MOMA, New York City. Most notably Edvard Munch's The Scream which seemed to go well with the doll in branches piece. The starter images/art can be found in the first comment.

Inspired by Edvard Munch's "The Scream."

The image is a macro photo of a hairbrush, processed in Photoshop. I attempted to give the impression of a lone individual, caught in the claustrophobic, existential moment, defined by a dreamlike state of paranoia and anxiety.

I’m sure some people will find this image a little disturbing but I couldn’t help thinking of the famous Edvard Munch painting when I saw this snow monkey at the Jigokudani Park in Japan. I was obviously concerned for his wellbeing and kept an eye on him for a while. Thankfully he seemed to perk up and rejoined his friends after a while (EM121164)

“Go moan for man. It's the pathos of people that gets us down, all the lovers in this dream.”― Jack Kerouac, On the Road

Nature reflects everything that we think and do, right back at us, for we are one and the same .... our beauty as well as our ugliness.

I was making my way back to my car, walking through the stream when I noticed this face in the tree root, reminding me of 'The Scream'

Karl Ove Knausgard selected 138 pictures of Edvard Munch and presented an excellent exhibition in Duesseldorf Kunsthalle, K20

Of course, this picture is inspired by the famous painting of the same name by Edvard Munch.

The self portrait I shot today, the background consists of several pictures I made in the recent past.

My version 😊

Edvard Munch is a famous Norwegian painter.

You might have seen his painting the famous "Skrik" (in English "Scream").

The painting "Solen" is painted by Edvard Munch in 1916 and he painted it while he was in the town Kragerø in Norway.

We found his view from the house he lived in at the time while he painted this gigantic painting (455cm tallt x 788cm wide).

So I took my photo with the same view as my painter-friend and it is just a tiny bit (!) edited so I could have my own version of Solen.

For the Macro Mondays theme "Pareidolia"- the tendency to interpret a vague stimulus as something known to the observer, such as seeing faces in inanimate objects ...

Munch Museum is an art museum in Bjørvika, Oslo, dedicated to the life and works of the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch. The new museum building was opened in October 2021.

Architects: Juan Herreros (Spain), Jens Richter (Germany).
