On Left Front victory in Tripura: The CPI (M) led Left Front defeated the anti-people Congress in the 201 ~~ as~mbly elections in Tripura. DSF maintains its critical positions vis-a-vis the CPI(M), including the use of AFSPA in Tripura. Despite this, DSF views the victory of the LF over the Congress in Tripura as a positive development which has resulted from a series of pro-people steps adopted by the LF government, unlike the LF government of West Bengal which lost popular support due to its erroneous policies. DSF would also welcome any victory of the ML Liberation in B1har against the right wing forces. Unfortunately, the ML Liberation's strength has been shrinking in election after electJon. .
