One of the most famous tourist railways in Japan is the Kurobekeikoku Tetsudo, better known as the Kurobe Gorge Railway.
Starting in Unazuki, this little railway hugs the Kurobe River deep into the Japanese Alps along the Kurobe Gorge, Japan's deepest V-shaped gorge. Along the way it passes by numerous power generating dams. It's a beautiful railway further amplified when the leaves turn in Autumn.
Multiple trains operate a day out of the terminus, each hauled by EDM or EDR boxcab electric locomotives. Here, the day's second to last train for Unazuki crosses over the iconic Shinyamabiko Bridge near the terminus, led by 2 EDR electric locomotives.

An apron, or something you wear as cover during messy activities.
Although there are a few aprons hanging on the easel in a corner of my studio, I was inspired by my husband's garden gloves. He needed to run back to the store for more gardening supplies, so I pulled up the garbage can as my temporary easel and sketched this. Just as I found it. It's a messy activity.
EDM 7 A gadget used for cleaning. Wonder if they really work? All my cleaning gear is boring and not much fun so Mr. Google found this fun image for me. Watercolour, brush pen on Canson Montval paper.
Here is my bowl. (This is my very favorite Flo Greig pottery. I have a zillion pieces .. and I'm not done yet.)
This is actually part of another project I'm working on at the moment. More on this at: mrana.typepad.com/bitbybit/

One of my goals is to work larger than my usual 1/4 sheet, so this is closer to a half sheet. The challenges were the Mexican Talavera pattern foreshortened on the near edge of the bowl, and the texture of the lemons. I can't decide if I should put the wood grain of the table in or not, since it's not the part I'm especially interested in.
