In a world full of pretty photographic things and edited perfection, sometimes I feel like taking apart a shot. Sort of a What If?
Here, the sun was low, and the light was interesting in general. As an act of rebellion against the You. Must. Shoot. Raw photographic principle, I shot in JPEG in B&W with an actual filter on an old lens. (I get tired of editing raw files, and they take up so much disk space.) Transferred the little ol’ locked-in JPEG to my phone, and let Snapseed do its thing.
Funny enough, I like it. The original JPEG was alright, albeit flat, but this? Well, grunged though it is, it’s actually closer to the light I saw.
