A coloured edit of this shot of the stairs of the "Goetheturm" in Frankfurt was one of the first shots I uploaded here on flickr.
This time I used Lightroom and Silver Efex Pro for a slightly different crop and handeling of lens distortion, a better balance of light and correction of the highlights and the black&white edit.

This is a re-edit of a photo I took last summer. It's been a favorite image but despite the great look on a computer screen, I never liked the way this looked when I printed it. In preparation for an art show this weekend I revisited it and started from scratch on the edit using some my new skills at editing these difficult night shots. This version looks great on paper and I like the way it looks on the computer as well.
Lilac moon.
Violet/lilac is the color of light at the short wavelength end of the visible spectrum, between blue and invisible ultraviolet. It is one of the seven colors that Isaac Newton labeled when dividing the spectrum of visible light in 1672. (Wikipedia)
