We've had a White-breasted Nuthatch hanging around our yard for the past month or so. Finally, I was able to capture a photo of it. Ferguson, Missouri.
Une étude examinant l’impact des heures passées à éditer des images sur le bien-être des photographes a révélé que 50,4 % d’entre eux souffrent d’épuisement mental après une longue séance d’édition !!!
Les heures passées à éditer devant un ordinateur peuvent entraîner des problèmes de santé. 70,9 % des personnes interrogées ont cité la fatigue comme principale préoccupation, suivie des difficultés de concentration (53,4 %), de la fatigue oculaire (47,3 %) et des douleurs au cou (44,2 %). Les autres problèmes de santé mentionnés sont les maux de dos (37,6 %) et les maux de tête (24,3 %).
Environ un photographe sur cinq interrogé a déclaré avoir eu recours à une assistance médicale, les taux les plus élevés étant observés dans les groupes de photographie professionnelle (33,3 %) et familiale (32,9 %).
À cette fin, l’étude indique que 61,7 % des personnes interrogées utilisent l’IA dans leur travail d’édition, et que davantage de photographes de la jeune génération déploient l’IA dans leur travail … mais ça, je m’en doutais déjà depuis assez longtemps 🤔

A study looking at how long hours spent editing images affect the well-being of photographers has found that 50.4 percent suffer from mental exhaustion after a lengthy editing session !!!
All the hours spent editing in front of a computer can lead to health issues, 70.9 percent of respondents cited fatigue as their main concern followed by difficulties concentrating (53.4 percent), eye strain (47.3 percent), and neck pain (44.2 percent). Other health issues mentioned include back pain (37.6 percent) and headaches (24.3 percent).
Around one in five of the photographers in the survey said they have sought medical assistance with the highest rates in the business (33.3 percent) and family (32.9 percent) photography group.
To that end, the study says 61.7 percent of the respondents are using AI in their editing with more photographers from the younger generation deploying AI on their work … but I had suspected that for a long time already 🤔

This is a re-edit of a photo I took last summer. It's been a favorite image but despite the great look on a computer screen, I never liked the way this looked when I printed it. In preparation for an art show this weekend I revisited it and started from scratch on the edit using some my new skills at editing these difficult night shots. This version looks great on paper and I like the way it looks on the computer as well.

Edit using Fantastic Elements iOS app for death, and my photo of the cemetery. Tuned in Photoforge2 iOS app.
Just a short walk from the Jennifer Keefe Memorial Studio, Oliver's Cove is home to gardens and paths leading in either direction around the cove. This was taken my first evening in Tilting on Fogo Island, NL, last August.
Are going thru some images that i made with a early model crop sensor camera and the latest up-dates to my editing software is very good at cleaning up these old files.
A storm system came thru the BOP and it produced some huge swells running thru the Tauranga harbour entrance beside the round the Mount track. This is a small rock feature that was good at collecting the waves and produced some great splash effects. Although at the time thought that having the kids on the rock may have not been the best parental idea...no one was washed away tho.

Not a great deal of difference but the colour tones seem more vibrant and you can ajust the perspective so the picture is balanced. As you can see I only have basic editing software but it's good enough for my needs.
