A re-edit of a photo that I took over 15 years ago with my Canon PowerShot S60. I'd only had the camera for a few months when I took the photo. A decade and a half later, I made adjustments and applied a lookup table in Luminar 4.

This is my edit of my image Lost Balloons. To achieve this effect, what I first did to this image was use the crop tool to crop out any unnecessary space that was being wasted. This made the image more tidier in my eyes.
I then selected the area around the balloons by using the magic wand tool, and from the adjustment menu I desaturated the whole of the background. This made the bright balloons stand out on the dark background.
While the background was then selected by the magic wand tool I adjust the colour balance of the image. This created the blue, cold colour over the background, and made it a lot more interesting than black and white. What i adjusted the Colour balance to was Cyan -50, Magenta 15 and Yellow 0.
The final step to my edit was changing the balloons from red to yellow, I thought that the yellow stood out more than the red. To do this is firstly highlight the balloons with the magic want tool and then went into Hue and Saturation, I adjust the Hue to 47, Saturation to 49 and left the lightness on 0.
I edited my eyes using Gimp (so cool!) and took out the sunspot that was on my face... what do y'all think?
Edited photo of the flood at Wrangle marsh. When editing this photograph I used Adobe CS6 Photoshop. The first step taken when editing was to add a guide. This was to give me a straight line to a line my horizon with. When a lining my horizon I used the crop tool and slightly rotated the image. Once I was happy with the angle I deleted the guide. Secondly I adjusted the brightness and contrast until I gained an effect I was happy with. The brightness ended up as -21 and the contrast as 61. Thirdly as there was a lot of dark, dead space at the bottom I cropped the photo to a size I was happy with. As I wanted the photo to have a warmer appearance I altered the levels. I changed the input levels to 13, 1.08 & 246. The final step I took when editing this photo was to remove a bird that was flying in the distance. To do this I used the spot healing brush. This is my final outcome.

The first thing I did to this image was Invert it. Inverting the image reflects all the colours in the image to their polar counterparts. This was the first step in the alternate realm type edit. But to add to the following adjustment – I decided to go to Brightness and Contrast and adjust the scales to -100 for the Brightness and I changed the contrast at 100. This made my image complete different from the way it did before hand.
Next I wanted to add a slight tint to the photo. I wanted to enhance the dense colours that plague the photo. I.e the Blues and greys. The orange filter help add a nice blend to these colours and made it work better overall in the edit.
Although I liked what the orange filter had done to the photo – I did not like the added blues it created on the roads and nature. But considering I like the look it gave to the lamps, I needed a way to keep this effect; whilst eliminating the unneeded colours this is when I went into Vibrance and gave it the same treatment as the Brightness. I adjusted the Vibrance to -100 and the Saturation to +100 to help get rid of anything unneeded.
I then wanted to change the colour of lamps from blue to a more real colour. I.e – yellow. It would give the photo a slightly more real feel that just having blue lights. Although I feel the blue lights worked well, these would work better in retrospect. I went into Hue/Saturation and adjusted the Hue to -180 and the saturation to -6 to get this effect.
The last thing I did to this edit was get rid of random colour spots through the photo. Things such as the green on the trees/branches and the spots on the car in the distance. I feel it will attract the viewer more to the entire photo more than get distracted by these minor inconveniences. The way I eliminated this spots was by using the patch tool – selecting the area of choice and then moving it to a part of the image that has the colour scheme I would rather have in the place of the original colour.
