Via Paint Tool SAI or similar

start from top left > right then the bottom left > right

1 - Determine the new shape, which parts you want to erase. (i don't usually draw this out unless its a tricky one like this

2-Use the airbrush tool on a new layer (so you can erase stuff if you need to) use sample colours from the areas your working in the make sure they match. Do not worry about blending yet. If you miss this step and go straight to blurring you may still be able to see dark blurring near the joint. Some joints don't need airbrushing, but ones that show large dark areas must be airbrushed otherwise they will never blend. Once you are happy with this layer, merge it with the original pic. If you do not do this, the colours wont blend together and will just loose opacity.

3- blur the colours together.

4 - if the edges lose their edge and become fuzzy, you can go over with a brush and define them. (see the knees)

5- Body blushing (if applicable) choose a nice pink colour. this layer must be set to multiply (or similar)

6 - blurr the blushing

DONE :)
