La Biblioteca Laurentina fue fundada como una gran biblioteca renacentista por el Rey Felipe II en el siglo XVI. Dicho espacio destaca por su riqueza de libros impresos antiguos, en especial de ediciones de los siglos XV y XVI, acogiendo en su interior hasta 40.000 volúmenes y 600 incunables.
Además, constituye uno de los principales exponentes del humanismo en España, pues personalidades como Juan Páez de Castro, Juan Bautista Cardona o Antonio Agustín, humanistas de gran talla, colaboraron con el monarca en su configuración. El Salón Principal o Salón de Frescos, el más célebre del complejo, dispone de unas librerías diseñadas por Juan de Herrera y retratos de personajes históricos, instrumentos matemáticos y científicos, mapas, esferas, astrolabios, reproducciones de fauna y flora, monetario y medallero.
La Biblioteca, además, cuenta con una gran colección de grabados, con más de 7.000 piezas de los mejores artistas europeos de la época, y de una rica elaboración de catálogos de las colecciones de manuscritos de distinta procedencia (castellanos, latinos, griegos, hebreos…). Cabe reseñar la labor de restauración de los códices más relevantes de la Biblioteca, así como: dibujos, partituras del Archivo de Música, obras del Archivo de Documentos y Auténticas (documentos que acreditan que la reliquia es original).

was founded as a grand Renaissance library by King Philip II in the 16th century. This space stands out for its wealth of ancient printed books, especially editions from the 15th and 16th centuries, housing up to 40,000 volumes and 600 incunabula.
Furthermore, it constitutes one of the main representatives of humanism in Spain, as personalities such as Juan Páez de Castro, Juan Bautista Cardona, or Antonio Agustín, eminent humanists, collaborated with the monarch in its establishment. Temps de Flors 2024, Girona.
Girona se convierte en un gran jardín urbano con la llegada de Temps de Flors, una fiesta primaveral que este año 2024 se celebra del 11 al 19 de mayo, ocho días para vivir todo el color y la belleza de la naturaleza. Como en todas las ediciones anteriores, la ciudad se adorna con vivos arreglos florales que engalanan edificios emblemáticos del casco histórico y un sinfín de rincones y plazas, dando vida a un espectáculo que cada año regala imágenes irrepetibles.
La 69 edición de la fiesta Temps de Flors, una exhibición de flores y plantas en jardines, calles y monumentos, regresa en 2024, llenando la ciudad de Girona con su esencia de deleite primaveral y en contacto con la naturaleza. Además de calles, plazas y escalinatas, espacios interiores como claustros, los subterráneos de la Catedral o los Baños Árabes, junto a un sinfín de patios habitualmente privados, volverán a abrir sus puertas para recibir a un público entregado.
En total, este año se pueden contemplar 109 instalaciones florales repartidas en 12 barrios gerundenses: Barri Vell, Can Gibert del Pla, Carme, Devesa, Eixample, Fontajau, Mercadal, Montilivi, Santa Eugènia, Sant Narcís, Taialà y Vall de Sant Daniel. Algunos están realizados por jardineros profesionales, mientras otros son obra de asociaciones vecinales e incluso estudiantes de colegios e institutos.

We are all a sum of pieces,a sum of some positive experiences, others not so much, some welded with love, others scarred with pain. A sum of people memories that have brought us light and joy and others that have plunged us into darkness and despair. Remains of internalized lessons and others that only left a vague echo.
At the end, our experiences make up a "selfie" that not everyone stops or dares to shoot.
The collage of today collects original photos, unpublished editions, proofs ... a sum of pieces of my last days.Thanks to all of you who have followed my experimental flowers.
Now I am going to say goodbye "photographically speaking" to Barcelona and prepare myself for the holidays.

Todos somos una suma de retazos, una suma de experiencias, unas positivas, otras no tanto, unas soldadas con amor, otras cicatrizadas con dolor. Retazos de la huella dejada por personas que nos han aportado luz y alegría y también de aquellas que nos han sumido en la oscuridad y la desesperación. Retazos de lecciones interiorizadas y de otras que solo dejaron un vago eco.
Al final, nuestras experiencias componen un "selfie" que no todos se paran o se atreven a disparar.
El collage de hoy recoge fotos originales, ediciones no publicadas, pruebas... una suma de retazos de mis ultimos días. Gracias a todos los que habéis seguido mis flores experimentales.
Ahora voy a despedirme fotográficamente de Barcelona y a prepararme para las vacaciones.
