Captured in November 2018 on assignment for a charity client and an online campaign they were running. The shoot involved asking some questions about aging and the emotion of the shot needed to resonate with their 'vox pops' on the subject. Ed was such a fun character but I wish I'd stood on a crate or something to take the shot. He was tall. Enjoy!

The Chase Is On - An adult male Golden Eagle pursues a California Ground Squirrel after missing his initial strike.
I was fortunate to witness an amazing moment of natural history when a Golden Eagle dropped down on this squirrel and actually chased his prey down on foot in an attempt to catch it.
This is the first image of the sequence that I captured of the eagle generating momentum with his wings and lunging at the squirrel. Typically, I see Golden Eagles moving rather awkwardly on land but this individual moved with agility and purpose.
I have been photographing Golden Eagles since 2013 and spent countless hours watching them soar, hunt and rest. At last I managed to document a hunting sequence in the wild last Christmas Eve.
Species: Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) + California Ground Squirrel (Otospermophilus beecheyi)

Settings: 1/1600s, ISO: 360, f/5.6, +0.3 EV

Die Bahnhofswände wurden abgeschrägt, um den Flächenverbrauch an der Oberfläche während der Bauarbeiten zu reduzieren. Die unbearbeiteten Bohrpfähle bilden die Hintergleiswände. Die Bahnhofsbeschriftung ist in Rot gehalten, ebenso die Lampenschirme. Eine Aluminiumkonstruktion reflektiert das Licht der Lampen und verteilt es so im Bahnhof. An Gleis 2 ist ein Kunstwerk angebracht, das auf die Mangfall und ihre Funktion als Trinkwasserlieferant für München verweist. Gestaltet wurde der Bahnhof von Paolo Nestler.

The station walls were bevelled to reduce the amount of space used on the surface during construction. The unprocessed bored piles form the back track walls. The station lettering is in red, as are the lampshades. An aluminum construction reflects the light from the lamps and distributes it in the train station. A work of art is attached to track 2, which refers to the Mangfall and its function as a drinking water supplier for Munich. The station was designed by Paolo Nestler.

Il monte Orsena è situato sulle alture di Rapallo, da questa visuale si notano gli appennini in particolare alcune vette della bellissima val di Noci, si distinguono il monte Candelozzo e la Croce di Bragalla.
Il crinale più alto è parte dell'"alta via dei monti liguri"

235/365 Ed was good enough to stand pretty still while I was trying to slow the water handheld - reasonable result.

Electro-diesel 73001,& 319 367, the 319,s, or at least some of them, are being mooted for Diesel engine fitment, making them in effect ED's. ok 73's are third rail/diesel machines, whereas 319's would be overhead pickup,
