Sa conservation de la recherche et de l'habitat sont financées par leurs propres projets d'écotourisme, en coopération avec les actions internationales de bénévoles. La station biologique et de la jetée sont situés près de la ville de Miranda de Douro (Portugal) sur sa frontière avec Zamora (Espagne)
Portugal accounts for 50% of the world cork harvest. Cork Oaks live about 150-250 years. Here you cannot legally cut down these beauties except for forest management felling of old, or unproductive. The Hyacinth Macaw is the world’s largest flying parrot species. It is one of three species in its genus, all of which are under tremendous threat from poaching and habitat loss.
They remain highly threatened after the wild population of these impressive blue parrots dropped to just 3,000 individuals in the 1990s. Today their numbers have increased, but they remain vulnerable. This pair were seen at Estância Mimosa Ecoturismo near Bonito.
Last sunday, after raining all night and morning, the afternoon was superb. Like somebody would say: After a storm comes bonanza!
Ponto de descanso e reabastecimento durante a viagem entre São Paulo e Santos no km 47, seu nome é alusivo a Estrada da Maioridade, construída entre 1841 e 1846. Um painel de azulejos ilustra a subida da Serra por figuras políticas ilustres do século XIX tal como Dom Pedro II.

Endemic bird of santa marta mountains
The Argentine black and white tegu is a large lizard that grows up to 120cm. It is black and white with banding along its tail. Hatchlings have green on their heads which fades after a few months. This one was only about 45cm so very young. Image taken at Estancia Mimosa Ecoturismo near Bonito.

Pólos de Ecoturismo
O Pólo do Itaimbezinho reúne o mais famoso cânion do Parque Nacional dos Aparados da Serra e também o maior da América do Sul com uma extensão de 5800 metros e uma largura que alcança os 200 metros. .
O Parque Nacional dos Aparados da Serra localiza-se no município de Cambará do Sul, na Serra Gaúcha, em meio à região das Hortênsias. .
Os Cânions da Fortaleza, do Malacara e do Faxinalzinho não perdem em beleza. Em São José dos Ausentes o Monte Negro, o Morro Agudo e o Cachoeirão dos Rodrigues aliam a prática do Ecoturismo com a tradição Gaúcha nas Casas de fazenda. Em Bom Jesus e Jaquirana a paisagem dos Campos de Cima da Serra proporcionam momentos mágicos.
Trilha Cachoeira do Tigre Preto.
Caminhada fácil, começando junto à ponte de concreto sobre o arroio Segredo. Seguindo o arroio por, aproximadamente, 800 metros, você estará no alto da cachoeira do Tigre Preto. Neste ponto, atravesse o rio por cima das pedras (cuidado; algumas são bem lisas!) e pegue uma trilha no meio da mata. Cerca de 250 metros adiante, chega-se a um mirante, de onde se tem uma linda vista de frente da cascata, com uma queda de mais de 200 metros, continue a trilha pela borda do cânion por mais 30 minutos até a Pedra do Segredo.
O frio é um atrativo extra, chegando no inverno a temperaturas abaixo de zero com ocorrência frequente de geada, podendo nevar. No verão a temperatura situa-se por volta dos 22º C. Em toda região há concentração de araucárias, com sub-bosques de pinheiro-bravo, aroeira e carvalho.
As formações campestres ocorrem em partes onduladas do planalto.

Black Tiger Waterfall Trail.
Easy walk, starting with the concrete bridge over the creek Secret. Following the stream for approximately 800 meters, you'll be on top of the waterfall of the Black Tiger. At this point, cross the river over the rocks (beware, some are quite plain!) And take a trail in the woods. About 250 meters further, we arrive at a lookout, from where you have a beautiful view from the front of the waterfall with a drop of more than 200 meters, the trail continues along the edge of the canyon for another 30 minutes until the Secret Stone .
The cold is an attractive extra, even in winter at temperatures below zero with the frequent occurrence of frost, may snow. In summer the temperature is at about 22 ° C. Throughout the region there is a concentration of pines, with understory of maritime pine, oak and mastic.
The grassland formations occur in parts of the undulating plateau.

Construído em homenagem a Bernardo José Maria de Lorena, governador-geral da extinta Capitania de São Paulo, no km 47,2. O memorial contempla um medalhão em azulejos retratando Bernardo de Lorena. Os painéis de azulejaria laterais ilustram cenas do século XVIII, como tropeiros e mulas carregando mercadorias.

A Rodovia Caminho do Mar (SP-148), também conhecida como Estrada Velha de Santos, é uma rodovia brasileira que liga o litoral do estado de São Paulo (Santos, via Cubatão) ao planalto paulista (São Paulo, via Região do Grande ABC), e constitui-se em um dos chamados Caminhos do mar de São Paulo. Desde 2004, está reservada ao tráfego de pedestres[1], sendo portanto fechada para automóveis de passeio particulares, só sendo percorrida por visitantes a pé e de bicicleta, veículos de manutenção e micro-ônibus da Fundação Patrimônio Histórico da Energia de São Paulo, administradora do Polo Ecoturístico Caminhos do Mar, constituído pela Rodovia, pela Calçada do Lorena e outros monumentos históricos.
