After the first balloon burst due to the strong wind at Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center, August 21, Edge of Space Sciences team members and volunteers fill the second of three balloons that propelled strings of experiments for the NASA-funded Colorado Space Grant Consortium. A team of students from Community College of Aurora check the feed from cameras tethered to a hydrogen-filled balloon prior to launching it to near-deep space. They learned a few things from last August 21’s practice flight and hope to bring stable video images of the total eclipse with their updated harness.
