Eclissi totale di luna del 15 giugno 2011. Sono riuscito a fare qualche scatto solo alla fase decrescente, prima la luna era troppo bassa e coperta da foschia - e il 250 e' veramente troppo corto, per la prossima mi dotero' almeno di un 500 catadiottrico :V
Total moon eclipse, June 15th 2011. I was able to take some shots during the decreasing phase of the event - the first part was ruined by clouds and haze. My 250mm lens is way too short for this kind of shots :(
2 shots composed - first one 2"@f/13 for the dark part, second one 1/10"@f/13 for the bright side. Canon EOS 450D and Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS on manfrotto tripod, locked mirror and 2secs timer (I don't have a remote).
Al anochecer, podrá verse a simple vista una “ocultación” de Venus por la Luna y la posterior “reaparición” del famoso y brillantísimo “lucero”, se apagará y encenderá lentamente en el cielo a medida que se mueva el satélite natural.
El extraño eclipse se verá en casi toda la Argentina, salvo en la región Norte.
En Buenos Aires y alrededores, la ocultación ocurrirá a las 18.50, diez minutos después de la puesta del Sol, cuando la Luna y Venus estén a unos 40º de altura sobre el horizonte del Oeste.

All eclipse photos taken with my Nikon D50 on a tripod with a Sigma/Quantaray 70-210 mm zoom lens at f/5.6, exposures generally between 1/2-second and 2 seconds, ISO 800.
My eclipse pictures came out pretty pitifully. I couldn't , for the life in me, get the correct settings. What settings did you guys use for yours?
I finally got the best images from it on Manual Focus, Shutter Priority, -0.8 shutter speed, 64 ISO, and no flash. I didn't have a tripod, so this was about as good as my images got.
