This tepuy (pemon word for plateu mountain) is the highests of all these plateaus. It holds unique echosystems in the world, and a few species are only found on the top of this specific tepuy. It is one of the oldest geological formations on earth and it is very unlileky to ever have an erathquake in this region. On top it holds a common point that is the border between Brazil, Venezuela and Guyana (although most of Guyana's territory was originally Venezuelan).

My Hosts during my "adventure" along the coast of Maine - Peter and Linda. They are seen here along Ferry Beach with Prouts Neck behind them.
Without Linda and Peter who not only are my host when adventuring in Maine but also are wonderful tour guides, none of these images and the many other sets of images would be possible - THANK YOU both.
I raise my mug of that magical brew in salute.
