Final northbound passenger train of the day crosses the large fill just south of Shirleysburg, Pa, crossing over Runk Road.
EBT Pogue Bridge crossing Aughwick Creek, built by American Bridge Company of Philadelphia in 1904. Sure hope my next pic shows a restored bridge with a steam engine on it.
Back in 2005, who would have known the direction the East Broad Top would take over the next 17 years. Here a charter rolls south toward Rockhill Furnace from Cottage Grove in the rain looking like the early 50's

Anyhow...Millie, M-1, and #15 convene in front of the station at Orbisonia. Pete Lerro did a nice job lighting up the headlights, and had his guys drop a bunch of smoke bombs down the stacks. The white walls on Millie, EBT 12, hide in the shadows of the roundhouse at Rockhill. The Baldwin Mikado turns 105 years old this year.
Last week, I enjoyed steam trains on the East Broad Top after a 50-year absence. It was a fine way to spend a day in May. If you haven't visited the EBT lately, do it.
