This is a super simple cole slaw like recipe that has tons of flavor. For those of you who hate cilantro, you can easily sub with fresh parsley.
A quick note, I used red cabbage. The lime juice is going to release some of the red of the cabbage and make the sauce a crazy pink shade after a few minutes. I’m fine with it but it’s VERY pink.
Makes about 4 side-dish sized servings and extra dressing that can be stored for later use.
1/3 head of red cabbage
1/4 c of mayo
2 tbs of olive oil
Up to 2 limes
4-6 tbs of fresh chopped cilantro
Salt and pepper
Cut cabbage into strips and place in a bowl.
Place mayo in a separate bowl. Add olive oil. Cut one lime in half and juice into bowl, half a lime at a time and stir thoroughly. Taste and add more lime as you like. I used two full limes but one was a little stingy with the juice. The consistency of the dressing should be fairly thin. If necessary, add more olive oil to thin. Add salt and pepper to taste. Chop cilantro, and stir into dressing.
Plate up cabbage and drizzle dressing to taste.

Dutch Indonesian fusion dish. Easypeasy to make, nice to eat, impossible to make look nice on a photograph. :-)
Funky dangles of mixed metals, extra large sewing snaps (the ultimate Steampunk component, IMHO!) polymer clay and chain.....from B'sue!

I just love our choxie-brownie finish, brown brass, chocolate brass....whatever you want to call it. I had such fun working out of the growing pile of components on my workbench and really mixed it up....choxie blanks (I'd emboss them next time!) copper chain, copper earwires, dull silver jumps, egad, I don't even remember where THOSE came from! LOL

I live in an apartment now but grew up on a farm and am used to just popping out for a freshly grown carrot :-D
I can't wait to have my own veggie garden some day...

Turtle is my favorite-I spent two hours on it, and I am really proud of the drawing. The orignal copy didn't have the shading, but I added it just because. www.easy-drawings-and-sketches.com/images/how-to-draw-a-t...
The fish took about an hour, and was slightly rushed. I kind of like it, but not as much as the turtle. It isn't as full as the original and I didn't shade it, but that was because I had to watch my siblings and get done with my work.
The dolphin was extremely rushed, although I really tried. I do not like how it turned out at all, but I have always had a hard time with dolphins anyways. I did the dolphin as my third picture because the fifth wasn't pulling up, and I wasn't inspired to draw by the frog (one of my least favorite animals that make me feel guilty after dissecting one in 6th grade) and the elephant. So I went to the website where the turtle and fish came from and tried to do the dolphin. If the dolphin is unacceptable, I can try a new picture like the-shudders-frog. The dolphin was rushed because my mom was leaving and I HAD to watch my siblings after that.
The hibiscus flower is missing a petal because I am not done with it yet. I like to draw at nighttime and I printed off how-to-draw directions for it. When I finish it I'll put a picture on my account.

If you don't like cooking with canned goods, this isn't for you. But, when it's cold outside, you are pressed for time, your hubby is working late & you're not sure when he'll be home, this is perfect!
Taco Soup
2 cans red kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
2 cans mexican corn
2 cans original Ro-Tel
1 pack Ranch dip
1 pack taco seasoning (I use Taco Bell)
1 onion
1 lb ground beef
Nacho chips
That's it - brown the ground beef with the onion - put all ingredients in a pot - simmer a little - DONE!

1 of your favorite memories:
well, this one was easypeasy: The memory of seeing a girl, who was hiding & popping out from behind a tree... I had not seen that girl in about a year, since she does not live in the Netherlands. This was during a scouting summer camp of wich I was a leader... I knew the girl was going to be in Holland for some days before the camp was over and I was really exited about seeing her after the camp... (really, writing this makes me smile all over again)
The scouting leaders apperantly got nuts of my happyness and stole my phone for a short time. They picked the girls number out of it and as soon as she set foot in the Netherlands they called her and arranged transport to the campsite...
So, that was when I finally saw her again and went totally nuts with happyness! I have the coolest people around me =p
(what happends afterwards? We each went seperate paths ;-) but we are still very good friends now)
The whole necklace. I made it in about 45 minutes, but then....I had ART CHARMS and components all pulled together and ready.

3 cups cranberries, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup of water. You can add orange peel or ginger, but I didn't bother. Cook until the berries pop. And that's it.
McCall's 5657 close-up of gathered bodice - I was a bit nervous of this bit being all too hard to fit, but was easypeasy.

Had a busy, stressful week this week. Some of the things I've done. Overheard. "Can you turn this off? click, click, fiddle, machine turned off!. How old are you? Five."
